  1. Hi to all,

I'm selling my Virus with Catek bindings or severally.

The board is next to excellent condition, all the camber and the life of the board are still there.

We are talking of a very snappy and fast board with unbelievable edge grip which it's joy are the steeps and icy slopes making them looks so easy.

Please, have in mind before you place an offer that the shipping will cost approx. 180USD via FeDex as it's my only option.

    Board specs:

    • Length: 164cm.

    • Effective Edge: 148cm.

    • Width: 17.1cm.

You can contact me through the site or mail me directly at: botsaris@freemail.gr

    Thank you for looking.

  2. I lost his card and was wondering if anyone had his e-mail or should I just go thru the Virus site? Thanks for any info.

I went through the site and everything was fine.

    Frank replyed instandly.

    The e-mail is the following:

    info@virus-snowboards.de

Wow. awesome board, i'd like to know how to get one like that but im afraid of the appearent lack of sidecut, but maybe it's just the camera angle. more specs would be nice

The specs of the board are what Hans posted.

Although that I agree with what Chris said about 12m SCR.

I asked Frank the same thing before I ordered my board and his replay was:

    "Frank"

"It has no radius sidecut, it is elyptical so it has a multi radius to ride wide

    and narrow turns good!"

  3. Looks like Dainese have a variety of helmets that look nice. Unfortunately they don't publish what the sizes are in cm, just "L", "XL" etc. Frustrating for those of us with the freakish melons.

I have ordered the small one for 56cm diameter head. The truth is that I had to mail them my head diam.spec.to send me the right size helmet.

As for the helmet it has really nice padding fits perfect on my head and is so light that you almost forget that you're wearing it.

  4. and arc...they didnt even respond and yet youre still thinkin about it?

Note that Frank been very busy at the moment producing the SWOARD boards as well.

He doesn't even replay to those that they already have pre order their boards asking for delivery time.

I heard that he's working something 24 hours per day with his own and swoard orders so no time wasted on the net.

As for his boards o.k. didn't cost me so much cause I live in Europe but for sure they are a piece of art and ride better than they look.

    Trust me

  5. I am looking at a 11m kite, but feel that that may not be enough kite for a 150 lb person in winds that are generally moderate. Any thoughts?

IMHO you sould go for a 12m to 14m low to medium acpect kite, with good safety system. As lower is the acpect the kite is slower more stable and easier to relaunch it when you dropped it into the water.

I'm not a fan of the 5th line setup but for a beginer is something that can help relaunching and depower the kite more easy, giving the kite more wind range than the normal 4 line set up but you have to adjust it correct to have the results that I mention above.

Don't avoid lessons by an authorized (I.K.O.) instructor.

    Hope that helps.

    Aris

  6. I was in between the Subary Outback and the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Finally I choose the Land Cruiser because it has more space and i found it more capable for off road kind of thinks as I'm gonna use it more of searching secret spots for wind surfing and kitesurfing than snow/ice conditions.

I also had in mind the V.W. Touareg but it turned out much more expensive especially if I want to add the pneumatic suspension wich is optional.

I have a feeling that you did something wrong if you got bruised ribs with a seat harness. Fusion is the best seat harness

    existing at the moment.

The reason that a lot of people they don't use any more the chest harnesses is that they don't offer you back support wich is the main thing and second they don't help you with your stance.

Don't worry for your tan your back is more important.

Realy do they still prodused them or do you have one from early windsurfing days?

    Aris.

  8. Did you tryed the Dakine Pyro or Tabou they are really nice waist harnesses but be sure when you try them to use the pad under the spreader bar. This is the key to minimize the harness lifting up trust me.

I was on fusion before but it puts a limit on my moves as any seat harness although it is highly recommented on your first steps when a lot of bodydraging is involved.

If it doesn't blows it's sucks.
