  4. Built 1998- I bought it new at a clearance sale and don't even have 20 days on it. 18.5 cm waist, 11m radius, plenty beefy construction with lots of camber left on it. Don't have to be King Kong to ride it, but its not a starter board either as you need to put some energy into it to get the best out of it. truth be told this is the one I have the hardest time parting with. Also, for those of you who have been asking, both of the Doneks have been spoken for. I do have a few more decks I'll be putting up on the classified soon to include I believe another 179 FCI, so stay tuned...
  5. Cleaning out the closet and offer the following for sale: Donek FCI 179 (2004) $200 Donek FCII 171 (2004) $200 Oxygen Proton 168GS $150 Blast 164 $125 Next Step 159 $75 (intro deck) Nidecker Rave 150 $75 (intro deck) Oxygen Proton 149 $100 Other than the normal top sheet dings reflected in the pics, all decks are in good shape and have plenty of life in them as they saw limited use. They will all need a minor tune up though as they have been sitting in storage for a few years. Will ship to any location in the US for $25 per board and can arrange for local pickup if you live in the Seattle area. Paypal accepted. Sean ride at comcast dot net

  17. We are a week out from the Sun Peaks carve camp and I am happy to report that Mr. Bomber himself, Fin Doyle, is planning to join us for a bit of a busman's holiday on plates. The mad scientist behind the TD2 and BTS will be hanging around to take some pics, write an article for Bomber, and check out the BC carving scene. The slopes are in great shape and we have slots for a few more riders, so if you are still interested please call Gavin ASAP at 253-569-3713. I know the US peso hasn't been doing any favors for our clients from the US, so I believe Gavin is still extending an early season discount to his customers. If still interested in joining us please go to the Snowperformance site and drop Gavin a line. Hope to see you on the hill. Cheers, Sean
  18. All, We have a little over two weeks to go until the Sun Peaks camp and conditions are looking good for another successful event. I was on the hill a few days ago and they have a decent amount of terrain open in nice carving shape- no small feat given the leisurely start all the resorts are having this year. With a couple more weeks of winter weather from mother nature and the masterful job the mountain groomers are doing, by camp time we should be rocking! We now have 10 riders committed to the carving groups with Mark Harris and myself doing coaching duties. If you are still keen on joining us we have openings for some more riders and the ability to bring on another coach, but we need to hear from you very soon. If interested, please call Gavin ASAP at 253-569-3713. Full contact and registration info can be found at the Snowperformance site. Hope to see you at Sun Peaks. Regards, Sean
  19. My advice: 1. Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths before you start (trust me, you'll forget). 2. Look through the gate towards your next turn, not at the gate you are approaching. This will help you develop a better path through the course. 3. Turn left, turn right, repeat- just like you do when you free ride. 4. Have fun, because even if you lose the race, you can always win the party :)
  20. All, I just checked the web cams and forecast today and things are looking very promising for our 6th annual Sun Peaks Carve Camp. For the complete list of details as well as registration info please go to the Snowperformace web site or call Gavin at 253-569-3713. I'll be checking things out in person in a couple of weeks so look for an update then. Hope to see you at Sun Peaks this December. Cheers, Sean

  25. Greetings from Sun Peaks, We are three weeks out from the Sun Peaks Camp and a very timely series of snow laden weather systems have been laying down some great early season coverage, so we have the makings of a great event. Currently we have 15 riders confirmed and are joining forces with another trainer and his crew from BC, so it looks like we will have over 20 alpine riders ripping around the mountain. We are going to limit total attendance to 24, so if you are interested in joining us, please call or email to let Gavin know ASAP so we can make arrangements and reserve a spot for you. The late breaking news is that Mike Jacoby could not make it, but we were very fortunate to enlist Lisa Kosglow for coaching duties. For those of you who don’t know her, Lisa comes fresh from the World Cup circuit, has a number of national titles under her belt, 5 world cup podium finishes, and has been a two time Olympic Team member. She has also coached for us in the past and is a fantastic trainer. As a reminder, the camp includes: € 4 nights accommodation at the ride in ride out Cahility Lodge € 4 day lift tickets € Coaching in highly personalized groups € All Mountain free ride training € Gate Training (SL and GS) € Daily Digital Video analysis € Stance and alignment analysis Demo gear from Donek Snowboards and Bomber Bindings The dates are December 15th thru 18th and all the details are available on our web site at www.snowperformance.com. On the site you can not only find info about this camp but also about all the Snowperformance offerings for the season. Hope to see you in on the hill sometime soon.
