Sorry I missed this post!
I just got back from Seven Springs in PA. Great coverage and conditions. This week looks good temp and snow wise, they have decent deals on lodging/tickets. Plus, its a great carving mountain.
Snowshoe is okay... not my favorite carving mountain. Trails are tight... plus gets pretty crowded....

You haven't carved until you've ridden …. WHITE LIGHTNING.... at Beech in NC....

Hey what kinda kid board is that? Asking because I’m my experience good kid gear is hard to find.
Nothing special, a Ride Blush 120 from a season or two ago. Gets the job done for now!

Yeah - Steph likes the bunny hills.
<that pic is literally about the extent of the hill I ride, don't knock it till you try it>

Some of y'all are some really nice forgiving people. Makes me look like an unforgiving jerk. I'll just leave these here:

End of rant. Sorry if I've rubbed anyone the wrong way but I had to get it out.

Hey MY, I also had a R53 Mini with the JCW package plus some other light mods. The supercharger whine was phenomenal and the driving experience was just so much fun. I could definitely complain about the build quality but still regret selling the car, shouldve kept it instead of buying a... VW Golf... For a car pushing 14 years its looks great
Only 29k miles! I had an 02, had a ton of gremlins! Here is the 02, loaded and ready to go to the hill.... 195 Donek was longer than the roofline...

I believe those have a tendency to go BOOM.... unsure of the cores but recall stories of them imploding!

best general analogy I've heard/used and seems to resonate with most is that a "normal" board/soft boots are like a bmx bike and an "alpine" board is like a street bike

Anytime I get asked if it is fun, I simply respond that my mother makes me do it. You'd be surprised how many people follow up with... "really"????

Not typical NC snow conditions I'm guessing?
Are you on the Donek MK here?
Incredible pics!
Fairly typical so long as we have a cold winter. Lots of snowmaking! Yep, on a prototype MK.

So, what kind of snow do YOU ride?
On the MK.... all. Boiler plate, sizzle groom, hero, chalk, dust on crust, 3 day old bumped/refroze and even taters (albeit riding a little less nose heavy). I don't think I am exceptionally skilled... I think you just have to make the most of what you have. Maybe that is a product of riding where I ride... I push it on all snow types. I fall a lot.
The MK has been my go to the past two seasons. As said before, the MK requires work but I can also ride it all day if I vary my riding.
I rode an Anggry once as a demo at an ATC/SES. I don't recall not liking it... of course the snow was likely what I would consider "hero"
