  1. Radial -- Post the link of Bode. Couldn't find it. Thx.
  2. I have the week off this week and am looking to catch up and ride with other alpine riders during the week. Not that interested in riding by myself. I live up in the Burlington area and can travel ~2hrs to ride (as far south as Sunapee.) Other places I'll go to are Stowe, Bush, Smuggs, Killington, Stratton (don't know how far it is). Anyone out there? Or are there already a crew of people that meet up at different mountains during the week? I'm intermediate/advanced. I won't slow you down ;) A
  3. I have a board that I just cracked in half at the inserts. As a result, the two plastic pieces on my OS2 bindings (the 2x2" pieces that look like little U's under the toe and under the heel) came off (read: I lost them). I've put my OS2's on my other board without these pieces (I'm waiting for them in the mail) but want to know what the implications of riding on my board without them are. Seems like I may damage the board if I bend the board enough. Thoughts? Thanks.
  4. Wasn't a malicious action. Just based on ignorance and the fact that this was the first time that I was selling on e-bay. Go ahead and bid/buy and I'll send to Canada.
  5. I put this up for sale on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/burton-factory-prime-167_W0QQitemZ220213111740QQihZ012QQcategoryZ62053QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Send me an e-mail with any questions. I have more pix.
  6. hey slushmonkey -- I ride (and sometimes ski) Stowe most weekends and usually one other day a week. If you're interested in meeting to arc some turns, let me konw. Alberto
  7. I may have a free day in Boulder next week and wanted to get some reviews on Eldora. Don't have the transport or time to make it out to Breck on that day so am thinking about Eldora. My only concern is that it seems fairly small. Anyone ever been? Have thoughts?
  8. I'm looking to make a late season trip, probably April 15-20th, and was wondering if that was a realistic option around Salt Lake City. I’m wondering: * What places are still open? I think some close on the 16th. * What the snow’s like? Is there any? Would I also need to bring my freeride board? * Any recommendations on places to stay? Cheap, but hospitable/sanitary enough that my wife doesn’t disown me. Thanks.
  9. Part of the issue you are still experiencing is the strap you've created. The Booster or your strap should go around the liner (i.e. soft internal part of your boot) so that there is zero space between your liner and your shin. Placing the Booster or the strap you’ve created that goes around the shell means that there is likely still space between the shin and liner. To give you an idea, I tighten my Booster before I do my top buckle on my boots, and then I tighten the top buckle so the shell goes over the Booster. My 2 cents.
  10. Get Boosters. http://www.bootfitters.com/booster.htm
  11. I'm interested in the FP. You in the Boston area? If so, would like to take a look at it. A
  12. There are three interconnected resorts right outside of Santiago. 30 minute drive. They are Valle Nevado, La Parva and ???. Anyway, they are all above the tree line so you can ski anywhere and the terrain is good and varied. You can either really rough it and go on the cheap by staying down in Santiago (there are frequent shuttles to the mountains), or by staying at a few hostels up near the mountain. Or you can spend some bucks and stay at the only hotel up at Valle Nevado. If you speak Spanish, I suggest making a reservation for the first night or two in Santiago via a travel agent and then finding a hotel/hostel/whatever once you get there. Rates will be cheaper. FYI...the sunsets from up there are unbelievable since you are above the clouds and the pollution from Santiago lights up the ski. And all of them have limited nightlife...at least as far as I could tell. Also, when I was there (2001), the heliboarding out of Valle Nevado was super cheap, something like $200 for the day (4 or 5 runs) and lift tickets were about $14-20/day. Finally, Las Termas de Chillan (?) about 2-3 hours south of Chile is supposed to be good when they've had a dump. When I went there it was sheer ice. I went for 2 days and then drove back up to Valle Nevado. But some of the people I met swore by Termas...especially when it snowed. There is a hostel at the end of the road to Termas on the left hand side. I didn't have any trouble getting a place to stay there and the owners or attendants were super nice. And finely, I was there 3-4 years ago, so things may have changed. If you have any questions or want any other opinions send me an e-mail. A
  13. Length is in the low 160's or high 150's. I can't really tell since there are no specs on the board. It was probably some type of non-production board. As for sidecut, given the ride, I would guess that it is in the 10-12mm range. To e-mail me, just hit the e-mail button below. A
  14. Looking to get rid of this board. Bought it at Burton Factory and only ridden a handful of times. I have a bunch of boards and am slowly getting rid of them. Send e-mail and I can send you better pics.
  15. boostertwo, Thanks for the offer but I think I'm going to pass. A
  16. JP, You out there? Looking to ride at Killington this weekend? If so, send me an e-mail: acitarella@yahoo.com. Alberto
  17. I've been riding a couple of Factory Primes (length: 167) for the past 3 years and absolutely love them. Unfortunately, I've completely blown them out, they are limp and I can't seem to get my hands on any others. Wondering if anyone out there that has ridden and loved Factory Primes can point me in the right direction to other boards. Thanks.
  18. I had both a UP and a FP. As someone stated above, the UP was very good for learning. It's not nearly as stiff as the FP and you don't have to ride it at as high speeds as the FP to turn it. After a while though (about a year), I gave up on the UP and rode the FP exclusively. As my confidence grew, I liked the responsiveness and stiffness of the FP and found the UP to chatter at high speed and not nearly as responsive. just my opinion. I'm 6'1 and about 185-190. My FP is a 167 and my UP was in the upper 160's.
  19. Anyone going up to Killington this weekend? Would be interested in arc-ing a few turns with a few people. A
  20. I have Burton Alp for sale. Its 167 in length and I believe its a 190 waist. Don't know the sidecut since there aren't any measurements on it. Got the other two measurements by comparing it to my FP. $100 + shipping. Pictures available by e-mail. Can't figure out how to attach them.
