  1. My summer ride: 2010 Volkl Aura's ... one sick pair of skis!!!

:-P Sorry I haven't been online in like... a year - I became a ski instructor at Northstar in Tahoe and now I'm in South America. Today I was skiing at Cerro Catedral, Argentina with SASS (South America Snow Sessions - the new people I work for) and we had so much nice powder it was amazing!!! I'll be here for 2 months and I already checked out Valle Nevado and Cerro Bayo. After the season I am hoping to make it to Las Leñas, Portillo, El Colorado, and La Parva before heading back to the States end of September!!

If anyone is interested in coming down send me a PM! Also if you have suggestions for amazing places to go!!

  2. I've never had good luck with women who live in resort areas, and my female friends say the same about guys. Just a thought though...look for "men" and forget the "boys". :-)

I'm dating somebody else in ski school. No clue if its going to last.

My Level I Examiner and Level II clinician/coach just got engaged to a girl I think he met through ski school two years ago. Maybe it just depends on where you work.

  3. Awww thanks guys :-)

I'm at home in Reno right now and Sunday we finish the trip to the Sonoma County coast. I have no clue what I am doing jobwise though... or even where. I will be a ski instructor to get it out of my system and make sure I don't regret it later on. It's the only thing I've known I needed to do since I was seven.

  4. I'm moving to Reno.

I graduated on the 18th, and left from Boston on the 23rd (last Friday). So far my cactus and I have been to Niagara Falls, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and Salt Lake City.

    Favorites of the trip:

-South Dakota/Wyoming area [rt 16 by Mt. Rushmore] we saw wild mustangs galloping right next to our road

-Saw a Bison just east of Yellowstone chewing grass on the side of the road

-My car almost got hit by a tumbleweed crossing the salt flats from Salt Lake City to Wendover (where I am now- border of Utah and Nevada)

    Cool Photos:

-I got one of my cactus on my skateboard under the Montana state sign this morning

-amazing sunset over Lake Michigan from Portage, Indiana with a view of Chicago

Rest of the trip: tomorrow get to Reno, Sat rest/walk around Tahoe area, Sun Sonoma County drive/Redwoods/beach sunset with friends from grade school and my first college, Mon San Francisco and send off my road trip companion back to Boston

:ices_ange Yeah.... life can be hard sometimes

  5. My Mexico trip a month ago involved my friend getting plastered in front of my family so much that he ate his food with his hands, left his fork in is steak, and wanted to eat the light on the way to his room.

I think we want to hear about Mexico :ices_ange

  6. There's another story where the robber also wanted some alcohol, and the guy behind the counter asked him for his ID to see if he was over 21.

Another more recent one where the robber accidentally left his kid in the store.

  7. Is yoga sexy or just what hippies do?

I grew up in the hippieland of Sonoma County (the local news is called The Bohemian) and my town outlawed nukes and legalized women walking around topless. A few years back in the movies yoga was still pictured as one of those down-to-earthy I-talk-slow-because-I'm-centered artistic things. I have no clue how it is viewed in urban areas (I didn't quite grow up in one) and whether its seen as a sexy metropolitan activity or not.

So what do people think of yoga? (other than that its incredibly healthy, difficult and produces amazing bods)

  8. Does anybody know if speed suits with naked person prints are available anywhere? Links? I'm thinking similar to a naked person halloween outfit, or similar to the skeletal outfit. What about a skeletal speed suit? muscular one? Anything????

  9. I know some great cops, one of which is actually a mentor of mine who helped me through a rough spot in life.

This guy was out of line in my opinion. He grabbed the kid, talked about his parents' parenting, blah blah for skateboarding in a forbidden area? He coulda just kicked them off and told them to go home.

Maybe his wife kicked him out that morning or something and he needed to let out his insecurities.

  10. Seminar on Managing Ethnic Conflict

Seminar on Problems of National Security

    Intermediate Spanish: Conversation

and I dropped Introduction to Financial Accounting and Statistics

:-) Yes and no- difficult classes but not as many as usual although Ski Team takes up at least an hour a day during the week and 50 hours on the weekend. Good call Jim. :biggthump
