  1. Well I really havent ridden my carving stuff much, been sticking to my free ride stuff. Though i try to carve on it, but im hitting the jumps too. Anyway, i got the Super pass, for winter park and copper. But ive only been going to WP. However it just seems like there arent any wide runs to that would be good for carving, where are those mile wide lanes?
  2. I got the first one, but the second doesnt help that much, Like my lower leggs, feel to stiff, its just like i dont have as much control as i do on my FR set up, It's not so much the actual carving as everything else
  3. Ok so I went to winter park today(season pass) road on my free ride board, burton custom 164 with switch N type (backless) I can carve on it I have my angles a little more forward than a standard free ride set up, im just guessing but its like 30deg front 20 rear give or take. My Carve setup Hot 162 race something ( i painted it, it was white with i think some small flame design). Head stratos LTD and burton step ins. again guessing on the angles but front is like 45 rear couple degs less. (i started at like 50 frt and 35 rear but that was really uncomfortable) I wasnt sure how to get the forward lean adjusted. Ok so I didnt feel that balanced/comfortable. I was able to carve a little but im wondering if i should increase my angles. My knees felt a little twisted. Also the boots felt pretty stiff. I noticed alot of the time i was using my rear leg to initiate the turn, and i had to think about putting my weight on the front foot, where as in my freeride set up i do it automatically. It seems tougher to stay on top of the board, Like when i start to gain speed it seems a little sketchy. But the board was just tuned and waxed. I think the board is fine, but i just need to get more comfotable with my set up. On the boots i had the lean adjuster open, it didnt seem to make much diff. I do know that i can set the lean to a more bend knee position which i think would help. Also would it help to narrow my stance?
  4. only in the Pro, for 500 bucks, um no thanks, but i just got some stratos LTDs anyway
  5. Ok so i just got a pair of 29.5 head stratos LTD the clear yellow ones. I was thinking id need a 30.5 size. Well these fit, i guess, I mean my feet actually go in them, im just not sure if the fit is to tight or not. As for the liner, my toes basically touch the end of them. Now in the shell (good thing its clear) i can see i have a tiny bit of space, in which i can move my foot back and forth, maybe like an 1/8" Now they dont feel too uncomfortable, but they do feel snug. Im wondering how long i can wear them before they start to feel uncomfortable. Also the liners are heat moldable. How much more room will that give me? Can i take the liners to a shoe repair and have them stretched? oh and these boots are pretty stiff! thanks Mike
  6. Darn, I have a 162, am looking for a longer model
  7. yeah they do look like blax/head boots. Ski board?
  8. mmmm mabey, how would the 31s be for a 30.5 size?
  9. I need 30-30.5s for my 12-1/2 feet
  10. thanks, but the problem is im looking for a good deal which i think i found if i can get them to fit, He says that the liner had marked on it 290-310 on it, but says there are no markings on the inside of the boot other than the decal on the outside.
  11. do you still have them and if so are the 30.5's and if so how much?
  12. Ok one last question. On head boots what range can the shells accept? On my burton Reactors the boots have 29-30.5 marked several places on the inside of the shell. what about the heads? Im looking at a pair thats a "29.5" but need a 30.5, can a larger liner fit?
  13. Ive build some prototype step in bindings(for soft boots currently) that you can step out of, theres no release lever on them currently
  14. anyone else? DId you mean the boots in the picture or UPS boots in general? Im not familliar with those burton boots, so How are these?
  15. Ok well whats the difference between the 224 and the 324?
  16. Ok heres one that might get you. Which boots are easiest to take apart? I mean so that you can completely separate all the parts that are attatched to the shell? Ive got an idea, but i need to have the shells totally stripped
  17. like what kind of a boot is a 324 or say a 124? I assume each number means something. Because ive seen both a 124 and a 125. is a 4 series better than a 3 series??
  18. Found these UPS mach 1's how are they? also what does it mean if the liner has marked 290/310 on it? does that mean the boot can take a 30.5?
  19. ill take one of those too! they should make more of them, they'd make a killing:D
  20. this may not be of any help but i have some old used reactors. where the heck is incline village?
  21. sorry but i need 30.5's do you know which these are?
