  1. If you are looking at Raichle/Deeluxe they have  the boot sole length near the heal  a 295mm is a mondo 27-27.5 comfy,   Not sure of 289/285mm sole  26-26.5 I can fit a 27.3 foot in these with the molded liner more of a race fit.  Then there are two sizes inside boot cuff.   Upper and lower, The lower is the one you need to look at for size. I have a set of 277mm sole with upper cuff of 27/27.5 lower of 25/25.5 that fit a mondo 26/26.5

  2. Wait till summer when it's hot,    put a 1x4 maybe trim a 1x6  as long as the warped part of the base.  Trim a 1x12 board width for the warp on top,  4 2x4's  cut 3" wider than the board to sandwich  top/bottom boards than clamp with adj clamps. tighten,  tighten again in a 1/2 hours.  Leave for 24 hours  check redo if not flat.  Did this on an old Burton that was concave worse than that, took two 100 deg days .  Flatten 99%+ enough to run flat on cat tracks.  It's been two years and still flat. I'd grind it 100% flat but it's a old Burton rock board.   Always on the cutting Edge....of obsolete.

  3. My husband Charlie Russell asked me to post something for him here; he took a tree branch to the abdomen on Friday Dec. 22 while riding powder in the trees at Brundage Mountain in Idaho, and is still in the ICU after two surgeries. He is expected to make a full recovery in roughly 7 weeks, but it'll put a serious damper on some early-season plans. Charlie was deep in the trees when he got injured, and after no one heard him shouting for about 5 minutes, he got up and finished the run, went to the car, put up his board, changed out of his boots and went to the ski patrol room. Five minutes later, as I headed to the car to meet him for lunch, the patrol flagged me down and we were off to the ER. Charlie's injury was a traumatic abdominal wall hernia, and the initial scans showed no internal injuries despite something big and very obviously wrong in the form of a pretty bizarre looking bulge on his stomach. The internal injuries showed up later; he had a portion of his small intestine removed. The current part, recovering from the surgeries, really sucks, but it should get better soon.

  4. in pic 1 that setup would give you 5-6 deg heel lift. padded piece on heel non on toe. My TI's pads like those are flat whit no pads on either.  when you have bindings on the board and step in the toe bail should be more forward than pictured to step almost straight down.  Yes you can use fintec with intc heels but the heels will wear faster.

  6. Brundage  has four or five intermediate runs they keep groomed even on most powder days. They mostly funnel back to the same lift or a slow fixed triple. No lines but I got bored after skiing there 5-6 times over 6 years, but maybe it was because it is a 2.5 hour drive each way to ski for 4-5 hours.  There were one -two other carvers a few years back but haven't seen any the last 2 years I've been there.  Open 9:30-4:30 they are know for their powder in Jan.-Feb, although only 4" to 1.5'  mostly.  McCall is a 25-30 minute drive,  The last six miles are 25mph switchbacks.  I'd say Bogus basin 16 miles of switchbacks from Boise but it takes 35-45 minutes  and they open late on weekdays  10am-10pm, 9-10 weekends, but passes are $350 if you just moved here.

  8. Yes  We ran a set of 205/55/16 off my son's impreza on our 2013 outback for the last two years, worked great but like Corey said the speedo said we were going 5 mph faster than we were and it lowered the clearance by about 1.5".
