I have a size nine shoe.....Mondo Pt 27 boot which is the measurement that really counts since mondopt and shoe size dont measure up perfectly. but beyond that I have a 18cm and 20cm waist width boards and have no problems with overhang and I ride petty shallow angles 51/54 on the 20 and i figure out the 18 this year

is Killington open yet?
I just read a news article stating the Killington is trying to find a way to drop the temp on the top of the mountain so that can open it sooner or keep it open year round

Dont worry about the specs I looked them up on Derf's website. thanks derf. gotta talk to the boss (my wife) about the board.
-
what are the specs on it

being a burton rider all of my life I always would recommonded them at least for freestyle/all mountain. My friend rides NeverSummer and he loves the board.

That I beleive was an attempt back in the early 90's to try to standardize bindings mounting. If I remember correctly all the big players where involved burton sims morrow santa cruz mistral and barfoot. But alas they could not all agree on the pattern. I beleive it was called the wtf binding pattern

my wife has the passat with the awd. This car rocks in the snow but the gas mileage does suck 19mpg. she does do a lot of local driving so that might bring it down 2-3 mpg. but with stock tires I never had a problem with it in the snow. but as someone mention before the correct tires make all the difference. had a 86 TA back in the day and for the winter I would throw goodyear eagle M+S and an extra 150lbs in the back and that car would go though anything. and with my 1.8t jetta and a set of blizz i dont even take my wife's car anymore.

actually i am short and no mustache so I dont think I met you before. I only get to ride on the weekends and that is after nine since I dont have a pass. Me and my friend Bill both ride speed 160's. Hook up with a guy named john I believe he was riding coiler 185fc and this girl named laurie on a fp164. doing the tiple play again this year maybe we can hook up.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have a kid or who has never tried to teach one. It would be one freakish 3 year old that could manage a snowboard. Even skiing is not for all of them. I tried my kids starting at 3 but for both of them it wasn't until they were 5 or 6 before they really started to enjoy skiing and want to get out there. I second the recommendation for pro instruction for kids. Especially the daycare/ski school combo where if the kid is not doing so well they can just go back to the daycare and have fun. All of the people we've dealt with at ski hill daycares/ski schools have been great with kids and much more patient than any sane person should be.
actually your are right on one point i do have a kid (going to turn 2 this saturday) but I have not tried to teach one yet. But this winter I did meet a person who was trying to teach her 3 year old how to snowboard. I did not think this could be done either but as I watched at the base of the kiddie hill the kid was getting the hang of it. I bumped into her later and asked if she was a teacher and she said no and if her son was enjoying it and she said yes. I guess it really does depend on the kid.

Dont even deal with the skis just start the kid on a snowboard

Yeah, what JDGANG said. As I said above, my Sony in a box works great for the room I have, and the budget I had to work with. Movies sound fantastic, but the system falls short for listening to music. Not to mention the fact that I did not want to spend a lot of time researching and matching components, etc. Heck, the weakest link in my home theatre is the TV.
I know I can put together a much nicer setup, but not until I get a nicer house, and a good room to set 'er up in.
thats what i brought and tommy is right. music does not sound all that good with the system. but i had a pair of advent 2 way tower speakers that make it sound good
-
if you are on a budget then believe it or not those systems in a box are not really that bad. just buy one from a good company. the most important part of the system (if you are going to spend the extra money on) is the speakers and the wires. plus the size of the room is small enough you really dont need anything that big

thx for looking out for me

Thx for looking out for me. I looking for FP/UP/Speed that are bigger then 170 or other boards (non 3D) but I would need the 4 hole disks since all I got are the burton plates. I ride a small mountain so I am looking for board with a sidecut less then 13. I saw a couple already posted but since I just got new boots (thx ebay) I most likely have to thin out my quiver to get a new board or wait until the beginning of season.
Appropriate waist width for big foot.
