  1. Just noticed this on Craigslist http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/spo/3671900639.html Have no idea if it's good or not? & this one. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/spo/3652584587.html TT
  2. Argh, I'm going to have to sell the Dynastar 3800. Having about 10 boards & a seasons pass doesn't do me any good if I don't have wheels to get there. With it also being Spring now, & me being a real slutty gear whore. I've bought about 3 or 4 boards in the past couple weeks A Gnu Carbon Credit, & a couple of vintage boards. So the 3800 has got to go for car insurance. Just thought I'd throw it out to you guys first. This one has even less riding time on it than the 169. All together about 2 hours. It's in pristine condition, not a single scratch. TT
  3. Well, now I'm curious about xy9ine's story? What, did some piece of his gear mysteriously break? If you two & Blueb all had something either come loose, fall off or break? Someone is definitely doing something to your gear. Does hard boot gear get loose, falloff or break that frequently? I had my ankle strap pop off earlier in the year, never thought much of it. First time one's ever just popped off, luckily I wasn't riding it @ the time. I was hiking up a really steep face, slamming my board into the snow above me & pulling myself up. Slammed it in & it exploded, hardware everywhere, sliding down between my legs. I actually had to stop moving for a second & assess the situation. I could see all the pieces about 6-10 feet below me. If I pulled my board out of the snow, the snow would bury all the pieces. But if I left it in there & climbed down to get the pieces, was I going to be able to get back to my board without my climbing utensil? Left it in & hoped I could make it back? I lived. I would go see if they recorded any of it. There are cameras there, I believe? Don't know for sure, but I'd imagine they would. If they don't have cams, I don't know? Set up your own? Go undercover! blueb could probably pass for Magnum PI? I don't know where that came from, but the more I think about it? I bet there are 2 pics where they look the same? No offense B;) Somethin's fishy that's for sure? TT
  4. Well.. Maybe you can have mine? I'm not giving up on it yet though? I don't think anyway. I've only got about 2 hours total on it. TT
  5. I think you should @ least put the rear back in the farthest inserts to try it out. I figured being so light, I could/should center the rear binding as well. Maybe it was my weight? but the tail kept hooking in the powder & I actually pulled something in my back. So, as per blueb's comment that she likes it in the rear :D I tried it all the way back on both. Completely different ride, the hooky-ness was gone & it became an instant powder slayer! I only did the one adjustment & it became awesome. The 163 on the other hand, hasn't been so easy to get perfect. Put 2 different sets of bindings on it, in all sorts of different configurations & still not right. Hope I don't regret selling you the 69 & getting the 63? I have other boards for all the other conditions. What I needed was a powder slaying monster for only super deep powder & @ 169 that fit the bill. That area is a nightmare when the conditions aren't perfect, it's only good sometimes, even right now. If all the clutter on the floor isn't completely covered, like it is right now, there are far too many hidden trees & rocks. I poked my head in there a couple weeks ago, there weren't many tracks from the day before. It was like a super smooth, bullet proof slide. You couldn't dig an edge in unless you jumped. All I could think about was if you fell, there would be no way to stop. You would be in a giant game of Plinko, bouncing off trees. But when it's good, it's the best on Cypress. TT
  6. Do you think they loosened it to try & steal it? That is, if you had it locked up in the ski-key racks? I sure see a lot of the employees @ Cypress that don't lock up their gear. Be careful, I'd imagine some of your boards are worth quite a bit. TT
  7. Thanks for the warning blueb. I actually prefer to stay in the middle of that area, not the V. There is a V on both sides of that area, the larger being the one to skiers left, but there is another one that runs almost the same length skiers right. You can go through the whole thing top to bottom, without ever even getting close to the "Death Star". If the V you're talking about is the one on skiers left. I spent a lot of yesterday trying to get the 163 dialed in as nice as I had the 169 set up. Still not perfect, hope I didn't make a mistake getting rid of the 169. We'll see? TT
  8. Eatcoastcarve, I'm sure you must have read all that's available about the 3800? Which is only about 2 threads in here, that's it. Sure does ride nice eh? Pretty much exactly as described, wouldn't ya say? It did for me. Curious if you put your rear binding in the farthest back inserts? I imagine you did? If not, you need to. Must have been a Dynastar day? Took my new 163 3800 out for its maiden voyage today as well. Didn't see any others though. Much easier to toss around. Super happy about finding a 163. If I hadn't I would have probably kept the 69, even if it wasn't ideal. Was there until closing tonight. Close to a foot on the car & puking heavily when I left. Tomorrow should be a good day!! I'd say "see ya on the hill" but, nobody seems to want to come down my new favorite run with me? It awesome, its called "Danger Permanently closed" Here's one of the hidden gems in there. https://vimeo.com/59635045
  9. It could be chatter? But it could be the corduroy lines in the snow? The trench you leave doesn't vary in depth. Well, maybe from end to end, but not in 1 inch increments. Therefore the snow you are spraying varies in thickness. That's just how I see it. I may be wrong. But my explanation, IMO, sounds much better than chatter. TT
  10. Sold, thanks for your time. I'm going to sell my Dynastar 3800 169, just thought I'd throw it out to you guys first. It's absolutely pristine, without a single blemish. I don't have pics @ the moment, but you guys all know what it looks like. It has only been ridden for about 4 hours @ Hemlock last weekend. There was almost 2 feet of fresh snow. Here is the board in the fresh @ Hemlock. https://vimeo.com/60228692 I really like it, but I'm a lightweight. Gonna grab a 163 instead, it would suit me better. TT
  11. Oops, I guess I misread that. All right, I'll leave the boots @ home today, but maybe I can make it tomorrow? Thanks again B. TT
  12. Hey, thanks B. I'm actually just going to head out the door, got to stop by Metro town to pick up a buddy. I'll bring the boots, you can tell me if they will work or not? They are pretty old. I ride goofy. I ended up buying a 3800, a brand new 169. Only rode it for a few hours, but so far it's great, but I think it's a bit too big for me so I might trade Roy for his 163? Should be up there in just over an hour. I wear a blue & grey Whistler snowboard school jacket. By the way, your review of the 3800 is bang on. The back end was hooking in the snow until I moved the bindings all the way back. Now it rides awesome TT
  13. Nope. I don't think what I write on your profile page is private? It isn't in other forums. If I click on blueb for example, I have the option of sending him an email. Not when I click on your profile though. so I don't know?
  14. That sounds great, a worn pair of 26.5 should fit perfect. I can't seem to send a pm. Someone else posted in a thread, that I didn't have my email set up. So, the problem is probably on my end. Should have it figured out shortly.
  15. Just thought because it was @ 10:30 this morning he might have done it from his phone? Well, I just checked a few weeks ago, 9.5. I usually buy 9's, so I'd probably fit 26.5-27.5 I take it my crappy, really old ski boot are no good?
  16. Damn, is this live? I was thinkin' of coming up there. Hopefully one of you guys is tech savvy & this will go right to your phone? Curious, will ski boots work in hard boot bindings? I have a pair of old ski boots & I have still yet to try this hard boot thing. But I'm itchin' to try it. I like my softies as stiff as they come. This is my 25 year riding softies, so I think I can get the hang of it pretty quick. I think? Plus I got a new toy Niles aka TonyMontana aka timmytard ;)
  17. I've been reading up about the 3800, seems as though this thing is a dream board? Originally they were made by Sin;), but then how long did Dynastar make them, only a year or two? Did they change from year to year? I'm really thinkin' about getting one just for the deep days. From what I've read it handles similar to a few other powder specific boards, but most if not all the other boards I've heard mentioned have rocker somewhere in them. The 3800 doesn't, correct. Just curious as to how it achieves its greatness? What's the goin' rate for one of these? Are they hard to find or do people generally want to keep them? I would be riding it with softies. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. TT

  19. I have 2 Palmer Titanium Channel boards, I'd like to sell the blue & orange one. It's on Craigslist for $150, but if anyone in here wants it? You can have it for $120. It was originally $799 I've only ridden it once, just to see if it was the same/different than the one year older model that I want to keep. The older one might be a tiny bit faster? Due to the flames on the tail. But it's hard to tell. I'm pretty impressed by these things, I got to try Poutanens new board. I can't remember what kind it was? It looked like an ironing board kinda, well not really but it had squared of blunted nose & tail. I honestly thought the Palm rode better, of course he thought the fancypants board rode better. Only difference is he just paid close too or over $1000 for his. But if I were him, I would never admit it either if I just doled out that much cash. If you're on the fence about it? I'll let you try it. You can even throw your own bindings on it, so you'll know exactly what she's capable of. Then you'll want it for sure!!! I try to get up to Cypress as much as I can & usually bring the one with flames. So if your heading up there, chances are I am too. Message me & we can meet up. Cheers
  20. You're insane Boris, I don't even know if I'd go off those? I want to, but I know what will happen. Cypress hasn't been doing a very good job on the jump building this year. IMO. I don't mind jumps with a huge kick but they need to have a steeper landing than a regular jump. ALL JUMPS NEED A LANDING THAT IS STEEPER THAN THE TAKE-OFF, that's just how it is. Dirt, street, snow, whatever!! ALL of the jumps this year have steeper take-off's than landings. Doesn't matter where you land, on the top, bottom or right in the middle. You are going to explode, as I have been doing. I've seen a tonne of people get hurt in the park so far this year. One of my friends is out for the season, because of one of the park jumps. I have bad luck in poorly built parks, I over shot a landing @ Seymour a few years ago & broke my tailbone. Couldn't ride for 2 seasons. Devastating. When I finally could ride, all I could do was just stand there & do really mellow carves. TT
  21. I want read-outs like that. Is that an app or a specific unit? TT
  22. Last night was wicked, a little wet in the morn, but by 8pm about 20cm on my car. TT
  23. The tail looks far worse in the pic than it does in person. The Silver is a super thin sheet, all the material underneath it is still there & undamaged The original sticker price was $799, if my insurance hadn't just run out, I'd be askin' more. I guess I'll take some pics of the Silver & White one too.
  24. It's actually not in that bad of shape @ all. The worst is the tail, but it's all cosmetic. It's just not in near as good shape as the one I wanted to keep. I think my room mate has Pay-Pal.
