  1. This is a 155cm Generic board. The bindings are vintage 1995 nitro bindings. The board has an 8.6m sidecut radius and 20.5cm waist. The board is in mint condition. It has a relatively soft flex.

    The board would be ideal for a kid, small woman or a lighter person who is just beginning to carve.

  2. ...is ripping it up for about 3 runs with Thor von Rippington himself at SES. I remember going up the Buttermilk quad with him and watching Paul "express" himself on the last pitch. It was late, we were both tired but we just couldn't let go of such a great day.

  3. Seems like it would be better and cheaper to take 2 weeks off now and take advantage of the great late season conditions in the good ole Pacific Northwest...Mt Bachelor and Mt Hood. Pick up a $99 season pass and enjoy.

  4. I'm assuming you have to run steeper angles to use Gilmour bias, correct?

    If I have my angles set so that my boot heel and toe are at the edges of the board, then adding any bias is going to cause overhang unless I steepen my angles, right? And then I'll have underhang on the front toe and rear heel, correct?

    I just want to make sure I fully understand this.

    I'm just educating myself on this too but what you said is correct as I understand it.

  5. Here's a good package deal for a kid, a woman or anyone just learning on hardplates. The Generics board is soft flexing so it would work for a light person as an all mountain ride. The Nitro bindings are circa 1996 and worked well for me back in the day. Never had a problem...I weigh 140 lbs.

  6. I have found using the rowing machine at the gym has been great for my back. I think it is the Concept II...correct me if I'm wrong...it is the most common, high end machine.

    Be sure to not round your back...ie bend forward at the hips and then stroke with a straight back.

    The rowing machine, yoga and a strong routine of ab strengthening has given me great results.

Scott, to follow your question of a body position that ranges from totally laid out to an angulated position...I think you can also think in terms of what you can get away with and what is the most efficient. And what you can get away with and what is most efficient will be affected by the texture of the snow (icy, hard pack or soft), the steepness of the hill, the speed of the rider, the lay of the land (fall away vs banked turn) and etc.

    And most importantly all of this is determined by what puts the biggest smile on your face. :D:D:D
