  1. This board was a custom creation for someone on the Canadian National Snowboard Team. The board is a 164cm, and with any Kessler board has a progressive sidecut; the "average" sidecut is around 12 m. As for the effective edge, again like most of these boards, it is long, and for this board it is approximately 137 cm. The nose is 30.5 cm, the waist is 25.5 cm and the tail is 28.5 cm. The board has a more free-ride shape than a race shape, with round nose and tail, with a "softer" sidecut radius, again averaging around 12m. It has been ridden less than 10 times, and because it acts more like a Hybrid--BX/Free-ride board. Despite this, the board is fast as hell, great in the deeps and carves like hell. Please feel free to email with questions. The board is mint. The Canadian flags on the base and top of the board are not stickers--they are part of the mold of the board. Asking $800 obo.
  2. I dont think threre's any set weight class for a board as versatile as this. I weigh about 145, and am just 5'5, and most would say that I'm too small and light for a board this long, but I truly loved riding my other FLP. I think anyone from 145 to 180 pounds could enjoy this board. Above 180 and I think you'd want a 168 from Virus. I hope this helped
  3. BNIB AFT is sold Used FLP is sold Any reasonable offers on the Brand New 162 FLP Carbon Fiber Virus?
  4. Bump..........any interest in the carbon fiber FLPs?
  5. Bump.....take $200 off the 2 new boards and $100 off of the used FLP.
  6. The waist width, which is what I assume you're looking for, is 25.6 cm, with an effective edge of 125cm. If you want more info let me know. Virus sometimes does not post turning radii on some of their boards, and I cannot find it on their site for this board; I estimate the turning radius on the 162 FLP to be around 9m. It weighs 2.54 kg or 5.6 lbs. (As an example the Avalanche AFT has like 7 different radii according to Virus, and they're not posted anywhere.) The board is not too stiff so as to get chattery or uncontrollable at super high speeds, it's extremely forgiving. The carbon fibre topsheet and carbon stringers and Quadraxiale fibre glass allow for great carving, with a very pleasant flex, typical of Virus boards. Its not nearly as stiff as my Donek Incline, but holds an edge just as well. I liked the board so much, I bought a 2nd and identical one from Frank at Virus the next model year--I just never got a chance to use the newer one, as many other boards came in between...in short, both Avalanche FLPs are 100% identical in specs, although their bases have different colors. Hope this helps.
  7. Final Photos...anyone seeking higher resolution or other photos can feel free to email me. Regards.
  8. Some more photos of the Virus boards for sale.
  9. I am trying to raise some funds to buy (or trade for) a few new BX boards, including a Silver topsheet Kessler 158-160, Madd BX, and/or an Oxess FX 163. Absent a trade, I would like to sell the following: (1) brand new, never ridden Virus Avalanche FLP AFT 160, Virus' newest carbon fibre freeride board, which retails for $1800 at A B S in Denver. Asking $1350 OBRO. The board is still in its wrapping from Virus. (2) brand new never ridden Virus Avalanche FLP in carbon fibre, length 162. Asking $1000 OBRO. The board is still in its wrapping from Virus. (3) well used Virus Avalanche FLP in carbon fibre, length 162. The board is well used, but the base is perfect, having just been ground for the first time in expectation of its sale. Asking $600 OBRO. The Oxess and Virus UFC BX boards seen in one of the photos are not part of this listing. More pics, including base photos to follow in the following posts. Thanks for looking. You can reach me at 970-708-7652. Regards.
  10. Would agree the SG is a far superior board than the F2. The SG is a beautiful board. I'm still looking to get a Kessler BX (silver topsheet) or perhaps a Madd BX if I can pry one from somebody's hands, or perhaps an Oxess FX 160-ish..... When I find what board I want, you'll see one or more of my unused Virus boards for sale to fund the purchase. I have a brand new Virus Avalanche FLP AFT 160 (never ridden), a brand new Virus Avalanche FLP 162 (never ridden), and a used Virus Avalanche FLP 162 (base was just reground for the 1st time)...pics to follow shortly on the "for sale" link... Good luck with the SG.
  11. To TLN, piusthedrcarve has just listed a 165 Eliminator on the "for sale" link. Best, Mitch
  12. Would you consider selling the Fr1s w/ spacers separately? Thanks, Mitch
  13. Thanks vm for the offer; that is one of the boards I want, only a 165 is probably way too big for me, as I am only 145 lbs and 5'5--I would need the SG 160. Thanks again for the offer, Mitch
