Boot-drill.
Touch the back cuff of your front boot on toe-sides (left if regular) and the rear boot front cuff on heelsides (right if regular). It forces your shoulders parallel with the ground on each turn and tends to stop the hip-pop on heel sides.

Pan, is the BX course the one by Solar that is always open to the public? If so then it's all rollers and banked turns... :)
-
Colgate Toothpaste...duh
Just kidding, not sure, they are Austrian Team specific though.

Ok so question;
I can't understand why people mention full-face to protect your jaw, doesn't it add another risk to your neck? If you face-plant, won't you hyper-extend your neck with a full-face?

Folks, just got off the WB website...there is an amateur BX event on the Sat/Sunday 17+ ski and snowboard divisions.

Thinking of stepping in and depending on the course, rocking the HBs...anyone wanna join?

Damn, anyone else have a roto brush they'd like to part with? I'd even consider the narrower version.

Those race plates are from 1997, so that's 15 years old...
I've broken many race plates over the years, and I float around 200 lbs.

I've got a 158 RT that I'd sell for cheap. I know it's not 160...but something to keep in mind.

Still too small for my 161 Prior i think so i will let him enjoy his pseudo set up until i can find a more suitable board
Tried to PM you. I've got a 158 Volkl RT that I'd let go for cheap if you are interested.

one in the same buddy boy! Ah the memory's of race team trips... It would be hard to one up that prank on Carrot Top :)
Ah yes, I still tell that one to this day.... Others of memory; 40th birthday, flipped mattress/box-spring, pistachio shells

I missed something here....you guys are all asses!
Eastcoast, Is that you John? Did we share an intimate "Tide in the bedsheets" encounter or a "dye the coach's hair" incident?

YYZcanuck.com is the F2 Dealer and I know Dave has one of last-years F2 Eliminators around and would surely give you a deal and will certainly ship.

I've got an RT in great shape.
$125 + shipping (~$35 from Canada)

Folks, I wanted to open the floor on discussing the potential for a WES this year. Pan and I were talking about it last week and think that Whistler would definitely give us a deal on passes, plus I'm pretty sure Chris and the Prior guys would like to be involved.
So sometime the third week of Feb... Feb 20th is a day off I think...
Thoughts, opinions, offers to get the ball rolling, funny anecdotes?

I'm considering buying a BX board (and have a few ones being considered), but I wanted to ask the masses.
Kicking the tires here;
Looking for a new-school stub-nose shape BX board 165ish made for 180-210 lbs.
SG/Oxess/Prior/Kessler/etc.
Let me know, pics to tanner.gord at gmail.com

A buddy of mine in Moncton called the guy up and offered to take him out for a beer...sadly he didn't respond.

Scob, I'll look at our plans for next week and will let you fine folks know.
Pan, Let me know when you are thinking and we can make a plan. Pm'd you my cell.

FYI, I'll be in Squamish visiting my folks from December 3rd to 9th. I will likely be spending my time in Whistler, so if anyone is interested in some trenchin, let me know.

LOT airlines are scary. I was once asked to move to the back of the plane because my 195 lbs on the half-full plane was throwing it off balance...it looked like a Greyhound bus with wings...

If you are still looking, I've got a 184cm Coiler PRII glass. Excellent condition ridden maybe 10 times. Made for 200 lbs.
$400 + split-shipping if US/Can

The RBC riders program is another to consider, also from Snowboard Canada.
Dustin Heise is the guy who runs it. The focus is on younger riders on a BX-type race/training, so the focus more all-around riding than pure race or pure freestyle.

Thanks to the Cypress guys for letting Kabi and I crash your party for a day.
Cheers Boris for the kind words.
These guys are awesome to ride with and truly embody the passion of hardboot snowboarding...the search for the perfect turn. If anyone is in the Vancouver area, be sure to give yourself a day to ride with these guys!
I'm looking forward to more pics and video of any of it turned out. Thanks for taking the time Boris.
Side-note:
Although it was -14 at Whistler today and I froze my butt off, the snow was firm and hero-awesomeness. Thinking of doing one last day up there on Friday before heading back to the Fort, so if anyone wants to bundle up and join us, let me know.

Where do you get these BTS-like assemblies for UPZ?
Do you find it's a big difference from the original ride-walk modes?
