  1. My kids are 3 and 5 and started on 80cm choppers when they were 2. There is a recoiling tether called the riglet that attaches to the front of the board that is a must have. It lets you pull the kids along and up the hill, which they both really enjoyed. More so than the riding down the hill at times. Seems that each year they get the next biggest size board. The three year old is now on a 90cm and riding pretty well. So long as the kids are having fun it's worth the expense.

  2. Hi All,

Extra set of Raichle 324 boots in size 27. Shells 25 -27.5. Liners are 27.0. A bit strange since I'm a 10.5 - 11US and they fit me great. I received these as a package with another board and they don't get much use. The heels look as if they are from another boot but they are in good shape as the photos show.

$150 includes shipping in the US. If want to pick them up, I'm in Long Island, NY if you want to pick them up.

  3. Hi,

I know it's a stretch, but we are looking for a week long rental starting around the 16th of Feb., anywhere in Vermont. The hard part is that we would like to bring our very friendly dog and since we have young kids, we would like to be on a shuttle route or be able to walk to the slopes. We have stayed at Killington in the past, but any mountain would do. Any help would be appriciated.

    Thanks

  4. Burton Factory Prime 7.1

    Running length - 171 cm

    Waist width - 20cm

    Radius - 12.97m

The board is in good shape and was tuned last weekend. Plenty of camber and edge. Only used the board a couple of times a year for half days.

$125 if picked up or $175 shipped in the US. The board is on Long Island in NY.

Burton carbon race plates. These are pretty rare and come with carbon fiber bases and aluminum 3D discs. Significantly lighter and stiffer than the plastic burton plates.

$150 or $175 shipped in the US. If you take these with the board, don't worry about shipping on the bindings.

Feel free to send me a note if you want more photos or have any questions.

  5. As a old school windsurfer, I see many parallels between snowboarding and windsurfing. In addition to what Sean said, which is dead on, we are doing a lousy job of growing the base of riders that are introduced to the sport each year. Equipment and design considerations are one thing, but the ability to bring new people to a sport that has a high start up cost, $85/day lift passes and a $20 lunch presents large barriers to entry. The windsurfing industry went big on mail order and most of the local shops and schools that generated excitement and kept a new crop of partipants coming in on entry level equipment shut down as they could not compete. We need manufacturers, resorts and local communities to work together to make sure that we are not cornered into an X-Games elitist sport that does not welcome families and middle aged, unhealty adventurists like myself.

  6. I have a pair of Burton Wind boots in size 29 that I kept around so my friends can try carving. Since all my friends are scared to go fast, I'm just going to get rid of them, hoping that they go to a good home. Hardly used as shown in the photos.

$125 shipped within the US. If you need international shipping, we can work out the price.

I'm also looking for a new board so let me know if you have something you would like to trade.

    Thanks
