  1. I will be in Snowbird at the end of Feb. Was wondering if anyone know's of a good ALPINE instructor at the Mtn? I would like to get better instruction on carving more efficiently. Will be there for 4/5 days. Thanks...
  2. Where else can I ask a question as remote as this one, and get experienced feedback? This is such a great tool especially for THIS sport where alot technically happens when you crank out a carve. This message board is invaluable!!! Thanks I'm going to get fitted on Thursday.
  3. 94 Burton Reactors (blue) mondo 27 Boots. Boots are in excellent shape. They never fit me right, so I hardly used them. Not intec compatable. Great back-up boots, carvers on a budget, new to carving and not sure if you want to go out and plunk down a lot of $. You get the idea!!! $75.00 + s/h
  4. Hey, was wondering if anyone had any info on an orthitics company called"Surefoot". They have a shop at so many big resort ares. I'm not sure if getting a good foot bed is worth it. will spend the money it a minute if I can be sure that I will notice a difference. Please anything + or - .
  5. This was supposed to be a reply oops
  6. Coming from a surfing backround. I feel the difference between playing around with your friends and doing tricks on the smaller waves is fun, but kind of predictable. Where as taking off on a BIG, Dangerous, and very UNPREDICTABLE wave has soooo much more allure to it, for me anyways. So riding " soft " for many years has been great, and don't get me wrong, is still very challenging. It's the incredible speed, the long carves, the whole body experience that has brought me to that UNPREDICTABLE yerning. I kind of know what I mean in my head, but have a hard time putting it into words. P.S. I think it's great to have a place to ask questions to experienced people about this sport. When it comes to equipment, it's not cheap, and you want to make the right choices. Thanks...
  7. How do you put a picture under your name? I love to look at the pictures, It can help get an idea of the personality of the person. P.S. when will the " pictures " on Bomber be up? Thanks...Marty
  8. What the hell is Ralk. I mean Talk.
  9. When people ralk of "front foot cants", are the cants angled forward or rearward? I know this is probably a foolish question, but, I just don't know. Thanks...
  10. Thanks for the great feed back guys! Jack I think your right about just buying the right gear now because I know I eventually will. I'm just waiting on some pricing from the Green Mountain Orthotics Lab at Stratton Mt. on what footbeds and some boot tweaking will run me. Hope everyone is Arcing-up-Courduroy!
  11. Hey, I'm a new carver looking to get boots that are comfortable. I've tried an older pair of Burton Reactors 93,94. Nothing but alot of pain! Would be willing to get those modified, but live in New York and do not know where to go for truly expert boot fitting. Would I be better off just getting a new pair? I was looking at the Deeluxe Le-mans, Head Stratos. I would like to get boots that are not" Ballistic for racing", but able to handle nice carving and be comfortable all day. All advice is welcome. Thanks...Marty
  12. How much for the Catek step-in's, and are they long or short plates? Thanks
