  1. 2 mindless pages of postings with only 2 legitimate bids?? That is ridiculous!! All Bill B. , and any other seller, wants is to sell the item as easily as possible for as much as they can get. No seller is going to entertain "consortium" bidding when the simplicity of a single winning bid is available. So why waste your time with it. As for "bidding" on carverbob's board, I wasn't aware he was auctioning it off. If he contacts me or posts his terms here, bring it on. The more the merrier.
  2. Forgive me if I am wrong, but does anyone actually think that this "share the board" proposal has any chance of NOT becoming an colossal disaster? If you don't have the balls to pony up the dough to buy it outright then why not back off and let the people who actually want and can pay for the board bid for it. Since carverbob has no direct email turned on in his profile, I am asking him if he wants to sell his board to me for the price he indicated. My apologizes to Bill B. for looking at both boards on his thread. Email me at eaglez@sympatico.ca if you want to make the deal. I have been an ebay buyer/seller since 1997 and I don't waste peoples time. If we make a deal, I pay immediately, no waiting for "cheques in the mail" that never arrive. Darren
  3. I would like a pair of Catek OS2 Long. Email me at eaglez@sympatico.ca please. Check my ebay feedback if you would like. My id is q107. I am near Toronto. Thanks Darren
  4. I tried placing an order. In the Country field, USA is the only choice. There is no drop down menu to select another country. Seems weird that no one knows how to contact this company. The only contact seems to be service at Burton. I sent Burton an email asking for clarification if possible. Darren
  5. Has anyone from outside the USA ordered anything from klugriding.com?? I can't even see a "contact us" area on the site to ask if they ship outside USA. Thanks Darren
  6. I recently bought almost the identical board from Chris Houghton. Still would like a coiler over 180. Darren
  7. My 8 yr old thinks his Dad looks pretty cool ripping up the mountain and would like to get into it. There is nothing available in the Toronto area. Any info, leads, offers to sell equipment would be appreciated. Thanks Darren
  8. I know it is the middle of the season but someone must want some dough for one of the many coilers in their quiv. Let me know if I can help you fund your next board.... Darren eaglez@sympatico.ca
  9. Please email me eaglez@sympatico.ca if you have one to sell. I am near Toronto and would prefer to pay via paypal. Protects buyer and seller. Darren
  10. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Chris for all the work he put in to make this day perfect. He obviously put in a good word with the weather gods because the conditions were awesome. I think everyone had a good time. It was nice to get out with a bunch of hardbooters of varying abilities to compare notes on equipment and techniques. Hopefully Bruce is OK after his spill today. Again Chris, thanks, it is appreciated that you took the responsibility to have an army of us at your club. Darren Eagles
  11. Hey, I see people are going to arrive at different times tomorrow. Is anyone going to be there for 8:00 or 8:30 when they open. My view is that the snow will still be nice earlier in the day, before the temp gets up to 7 degrees and the snow gets heavy. I will be their first thing. Darren
  12. Hey, I bought the maroon 175 WCR round tail board and the black/red/white maple leaf 175 WCR square tail. I have not ridden them yet, one for sure this week at Southern Ontario SES. Will let you know. Darren
  13. Hey all, Do we have an itinerary for the Day. When and where to meet etc. Darren
  14. Did that local shop have anymore of those helmets? Am interested if you can look into it for me. Smokin paint job btw!! Thanks D.
  15. Hey all, I have a 61cm or so head. I want to hear some experiences with people modifiying, be it slightly or drastically, their helmet foam to allow a helmet to fit them better. Any safety or durability concerns that may have resulted would be welcome as well. I want a full face helmet and am having trouble finding local shops that stock them to try them on. I have another post in the WTB section where I am looking for a helmet and have had some help from people who have modified theirs. I think I may get more responses in this section though. I want to buy wavechaser's salomon but would like some opinions on whether the modifications would need to be too drastic to be feasible. Thanks Darren
  16. That is going above and beyond!! Are you a friend of wavechaser? I am leaning toward the Salomon. I might just buy both and resell the other one.... D. :D
  17. Do the first 2 pictures show the foam that resides inside the Helmet in the third picture? It doesn't look like that foam would fit inside the helmet. D.
  18. Hey, I have been pondering yours for a while. My head is 61cm though. Unless there is any padding customization that can be done. Darren
  19. Thanks, I took my WCR to Gates and Boards yesterday to get the structure, edges and wax done. I know Squire Johns does good work too but heard that G&B can hold their own as well and they are right in town. George, the tech there, seemed to have the same answers that I found after extensive searching online regarding tuning. We will see. Darre n
  20. Looking for a full faced helmet like the Salomon that someone listed earlier. I need it to fit a 60-61 cm head. I think that makes it XL or XXL. Giro would be cool as well. Thanks Darren
  21. There has been alot of talk about the benefits of a PTC tune and that they are the best tuners anywhere. Does anyone know of a comparable shop in Ontario. I just don't see that sending a board to Eastern US is money well spent if someone has the expertise and machinery to do it locally. Surely there are ski racers or boarders that need that same level of tuning all over the world. Are they all sending to PTC??? Thanks Darren
