  1. The bottom is black but I can take a picture if needed. It has no damage, no repairs.

  3. I have my private pilots license with a couple of ratings. About 800 hours. For rotary wing commercial, you will need about 1,200 hours before anyone will insure you.
  4. I may have typed int in wrong. I tried again and it seemed to go....
  5. That e mail address did not work. Please print it exactly as you would like it sent.
  6. Classic Kemper Apex Gs 170 carving board with bindings. Great condition. $80 plus shipping. Can e mail photos.
  7. Sheer. If you start at a special indent to peel it up with a device that looks like a spoon handle it peels up just fine. Have a couple applications in mind. At this point it would not be seen or felt. PTFE coating will solve the icing. Right now the problem is that is wont take more than a couple hundred cycles. The factory is working on that. Sent then some nitinol to work with. May solve the cyclic problems.
  8. You know its funny that you say that. A major European University has developed a stainless steel velcro that will hold 30 tons. I have the first samples in the US...And yah, I was thinking...... I'm not kidding, I actually have velcro that will hold 30 tons.....I think I showed it to Fin but not sure.....
  9. Since it will soon be mud season, I prefer flinging mud.... And I must say, even though I am married, I love women who look good in mud, or dirt ! In fact, that was always one of my personal criteria for a girlfriend. Must look good in dirt....and like it. That, and must be able to adventure in the field and go without a formal bath or shower for at least 2 weeks.
  10. Read my posts, no hard boot bashing occurred..... It was more about the arrogant way I presented myself.
  11. Go on, I'll give a a free one.... ....or, we can move on.
  12. I would like to apologize to the carving community for being arrogant and rude in your house. I did not mean to offend anybody. My bad.
  13. Just to be straight, that is sport in general 300 days a year or so. And yes I did lie. I probably only worked 25 or 30 days last year. WORK SMART, NOT HARD !
  14. OK, I admit, I have never been on a snowboard in my life and I work at Blockbuster Video.
  15. I never said 99%. I think in every sport that 75% of participants are not that great. The top 25% usually hold 90% of the talent. Being better than 75% of the people in any sport is not that hard if you do it a lot. C'mon, how many people can do a particular sport, any sport, or more than one sport, eighty to a hundred days a year or so, year after year after year ? Way, way less than 75 % Thats where Im coming from. Thats all. Racers edge in Breck used to have a sticker. ( I am not directing this at anyone) It said: "It's not the tune, you suck! " Yes It's mean, but its true.....
  16. Yes, I do agree with you. I will stand by the fact that it is true. Equipment does not make the rider. I will refrain, I must have had a bug up my you know what for some other reason. I strongly believe that to be a true master of any sport that one must have put in at least 10,000 hours of practice in that particular sport. Less than 20% of all snowboarders on the planet have put that sort of time in, prolly not even that many. I am not saying that I am any sort of master, just that I have created a situation that allows me practice the sports that I love for at least 300 days per year for the last 25 years or so. I wish that upon everyone !
  17. I did not know that the moniker was based on amount of posts. I thought someone was just ripping on me. Im over it. No worries. I'm sure that I will go down to Fin's this winter and get set up with some hard boots and give it a whirl....again..... I like to re visit my issues to see if I was right with my decision. I have seen the raised plate system in person and actually touched it. I do think it is spot on and very BadAss !
  18. I am a snowboarder and snowboarding is a brotherhood. I stand up for my brothers and I will defend and support them even if we do not share the same political views or equipment choices. Although I do really, really hate the dufus dork bro brahs who run into people. They are not good for our sport.
  19. I do not think that I disrespected hard boots or anything of the like. Please show me where I may have done that. In fact I said this "No bad vibe, I do respect all disciplines ( except bro brah dufus dorks that like to run into people ) RESPECT...... " They ( hardboots ) are obviously the best way to go for carving and alpine style riding. All I said was that my feet don't like them. Not that they are bad, just that my feet don't like any kind of plastic boots. Its not the boots, it's my feet ! I have re read my posts and confirmed that I never said, nor insinuated anything negative about alpine riders, hard boots or the carving community. I did state that I respect all, just not the bro brah dufus dorks who run into people. If I offended the latter, I don't care. I think variety and the ability to choose is the best thing. If I did say or insinuate any negativity directed towards any type of equipment or member of the carving community or individual, would you please point it out to me so I can understand what you are referring to so I don't do it again. I don think anything negative about any part of alpine riding, alpine riders or alpine equipment. I don't think it is a crime that my feet have problems . The forum is "carving community" not hard boot community. I carve.
