    Donek 160

I have the above that I have only ridden about 3 days at the most. It is the Axxess shape (slightly lower nose but also has the kicked tail) but with more slalom/race style specs. Specs are as follows: Length: 160 Effective edge: 139 Waist: 19.5 Nose: 25.5 Tail: 25.1 Radius: 9.0 It's decambered and has no blemmishes or marks anywhere. It's featured in the following video by Donek at about the 4:42 minute mark: http://www.youtube.com/user/doneksnowboards#p/c/EBBB28468D758F82/0/79P4vYMb2HA I got it custom made and it was too short for me so have ordered a slightly longer one from Donek. $450 email me joeltemplar@hotmail.com i'm in Australia but happy to ship anywhere.
  2. yep i still have it. i live in Drouin (near Warragul) but am willing to come pretty much anywhere on the eastern side of Melbourne if you want. give me a call on 0403126694.
  3. decided to go a Donek. should be good! dan, i'm up this weekend but not next. then basically every 2nd weekend in the season with a 10 day stint at the end of July.
  4. it's cap, not sandwich.
  5. Ok. So i'm new here and i've been out of the "tech" side of carving for a while. Still been riding but just on equipment from around 7-10 years ago. Time to upgrade and I'm out of touch. So..... I currently have 2002 Deeluxe hardboots (the orange Salt Lake City edition). The foot shell says 28.5 (not 28-28.5, just 28.5). Now i notice that Deeluxe only come in full sizes i.e. 28.0. My mondo size is 28.5. So do i get the 28.0 or the 29.0 for the same size as i have now?
  6. i've got a Scott Targa 167 from about 2002. Used maybe 10-15 times. perfect condition.
  7. yeah, i guess that's where my issue lies: the flex. everything else is comparable over the net such as dimensions but unless i can flex a board in person, it's all relative to the individual. even with a custom made board, it's taking a risk. i guess i'm just gonna have to take a risk...
  8. is the 161 still for sale? if so, what are the nose/tail widths? and what is the base and edge condition?
  9. i have only ridden one board (F2 Speedster SL) that was made in the last 10 years. i'm getting the feeling that boards have gotten a lot stiffer since then??? i'm after the SL shape dimensions (around 160, 19-19.5 waist and up to 25.5 nose/25 tail, around 9.0 radius) but with "friendlier" flex, i guess is the best way to describe it.
  10. yeah, thanks. i forgot. i'm about to upload them now through photobucket.
  11. hi i'm new to the forum and live in Australia. i am a ski patroller on hardboots and am in need of a new board. i currently ride a Hot Blast 158 (a 1999 model) and i love it. but it's geeting a little tired now and i need to replace it. i also have an F2 Speedster SL 163 (2006 model i think) and i just don't like it. it's too stiff for what i need. i realise that most boards these days are going to be stiffer than 10 years ago. i want something that can ride anything - ice, groomed, slush, crud, moguls etc so i need something that's not too stiff. i'm 6'2" and 180lb. i was looking at the 2010 Volkl RT 162. it's all the right diemsnions for what i want except i don't know about the flex. alpine/carving boards don't exist over here so i can't test them. anyone know whether the Volkl RT is stiffer/less stiff than the Speedster SL? and how it rides in crud and bumps? any other suggestions would be great. cheers joel
  12. I have an F2 Speedster SL 163 (2006 model i think). I have only used it a few times (one small surface scratch on the base, wax residue on the nose and a few "lift line" marks on the tail). It's just not the kind of board i like. It has been sitting in my board bag for most of the time i have had it. Only catch is I'm in Australia. I'm not sure how much it would be to ship to the US or Canada but if you're interested, i can find out. I'm after US$400 for it. Considering where I live, making payment would need to be worked out so both parties are satisfied they're not gonna get ripped off. the coins to show camber are a 5c Australian coin and a 1c Euro coin (can't find any US coins!)
