  1. Hi Sigi, I saw that you responded to another rider who broke his SG and offered to replace it, I just had the same thing happen and wanted to see what you thought. Here's the post; http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?31442-SG-delamination-repair. I bought the board from Justin Ridder who got it new from you and never rode it, I only have two months of riding on it, weekends only with a few races and some training so not heavy use and given that I train and race GS half as much it only got half that much use. Speaking of GS, my GS board is an SG full race 175 that has the same binding combo (Bomber TD1 step ins) is the same thing going to happen to that board? I love your boards and beleive they are the best snowboards I have ever ridden (25 years riding) and have gotten me best race finishes yet, I hope that something can be done to fix the problem. Thanks and email me at evnewsphoto@yahoo.com Everett McEwan

  2. The word "retro-fitting" says it already... From a manufacturer's point of view I clearly must say no to such "retro-fitting" of side-inserts / or UPM mounts: - Every board with 4x4 insert pattern has fibre-reinforced inserts that fulfill the standards and make the using of the boards safe. - If you drill holes into your board and mount a plate into that holes, there is no guarantee that it will hold. In fact it is very dangerous. - Those side-inserts /or UPM mounts were used by riders 6-7 years ago. Back then it was not possible to find 4x4-fixed plates that worked well. - Nowadays there is no need anymore to drill holes into the boards. You can use a 4x4 fixed plate you can use at any board and switch it from one board to another within a few minutes. - Why going two steps back when the future of plate-riding is already here? Fun have! Sigi
  3. Jason, thanks for sending the board to the factory. We are awaiting the board to do a close investigation on this case. Top quality of our material and therefore the satisfaction of our customers is our upmost goal. Please do not create too many rumors about this broken board here in the forum as you have bought the deck from a racer second hand - and you do not know what happened to the board before you owned it - even if you handled it in a correct way, I presume. I will keep you and also the forum-readers updated about the investigation on the board as soon as it is checked by our technicians in the laboratory. Thanks, Sigi
  4. Hello everybody, and thanks a lot for all the interest in our new SGsnowboards product line. I will clear the situation and solve some of the questions about our boards: * SG FULLRACE PROTEAM and TITANIUM All our FULLRACE boards are made in the same production circuit and therfore have the same setup, material, stiffness, camber, rocker etc. The PROTEAM and TITANIUM boards are equal except for graphics. We chose to make boards with a Limited Edition PROTEAM design. These boards are used by our sponsored SGriders. Unfortunately we cannot sponsor all racers that want to ride SGsnowboards, but those riders can buy our SG FULLRACE TITANIUM boards as we want to promote both models/graphics through the WorldCup. The limited PROTEAM models are sold to customers (100 pieces only), it is a very exclusive deck! In general our boards are produced in the same production curcuit in June which guarantees equal quality and setup for all our boards in the board-line. That means that e.g. all our FULLRACE PROTEAM and TITANIUM 185 boards are guaranteed the same. Throughout the year we build different setups of boards or new shapes of boards. These boards are mainly tested by myself and some SGriders. If we are happy with the results I give these boards (e.g. FULLRACE PROTEAM 70) for testing to distributors, testcentres and clients. This is very important for us as we have to get an order from distributors/clients for these boards for the next season. In general these test-boards are not for sale except some client or dealer would have to wait too long to get a new board or we are already sold out. But in the end these test-boards are the same setup as the boards which will be produced in the June-serial-production. In all our boards we use 3 mm itanal layers. Last year's boards were made with white topsheets printed with black. So on the side you could see the white-shiny topsheet next to the shiny titanal layer (might look like a thicker titanal layer). This year's boards were made with black topsheet. So you only see the shiny titanal layer. SG SnowboardCross boards: Since 4 years we have been making boards for Snowboardcross. In the last years the boards were named CROSS PROTEAM and had the shape of our Freeride board FREESOLO. Coming season we will offer the new Snowboard Cross Shapes FORCE PROTEAM 60 and 65. Our Swiss SGrider Mellie Francon already rode her FORCE 60 at the Vancouver Games and could win bot qualification runs by far. So those boards are very hot! I hope I could answer most of your questions. If you have further questions please write me an email: Sigi@SGsnowboards.com I wish you a great remaining winter and lots of carving-pleasure!
