  1. I've been curious to try these liners since last winter. Good to hear that they work as well as they appear. I've been using the Intuition Plug Wrap for a bunch of years, Intuition told me is generally the same foam as the SBC but shorter (a tad too short for me) and lacking the hard red wrap (the grey wrap is thinner and softer)

I'm ordering a set to try in the fall and if they're as good as they sound I'm planning to go ahead and import some into the US.

Those are pretty!  Is the black an anodized finish like the red?

It is an anodized finish like the Red.

Ooooh very nice looking. Now I am just waiting for a set that fits small boots well!

I use UPZs so I understand the issue. That is a priority for the future hopefully in the nearer rather than longer term.

  3. Hello All,

First off TD3’s are available in Traditional Step In, Standard and Sidewinder Standard. Sidewinder Step In’s are coming but there is an unforeseen delay holding them up.

There are now additional options for colors on the bindings, Centerdisks, Baseplates, Lock Brackets, Toe Clips and E-Rings all have additional colors available. For the E-Rings Grey = Red and Black = Blue.

    Thank you Walker!

We may be getting older, but most all of us will need Bomber around for sometime if we have anything to say about it!

    Al

You and me both, I'd been meaning to pick up a set of Fintecs and a Boiler plate for a few years to freshen my setup.

Yep you are right @lowrider my apologies. A momentary lapse reason based on how keen I would be to rat through a shed full of Bomber components. ?

    Hey Lurch,

I'm right there with you! As for any obvious short comings for next season as I've gone through inventory I've become more optimistic that we may have inventory to approach, though perhaps not match, the volume Fin was selling a few years ago. It's starting to become clear where our opportunity is to maximize available product and how best to pursue it.

    Cheers,

  6. Dave, I need to hold off on filling orders with my current stock until I have the backside complete (incorporate, accounts, etc)

Ace, At this point there isn’t a manufacturing entity to acquire so some items will be contract manufactured.

Daveo, for the initial term we will continue with the current gear. Once the company is stable new products will start to be developed. I’ll be checking in a that time to sound out issues or changes people desire.

I see Jack replied as I was writing much the same thing. The Forum has been larger than Bomber for years and encompasses far more than one company. It makes sense for it to continue independently.

    Cheers

  7. Hi Barry,

There’s actually surprisingly little back story to this one. I actually preliminarily spoke to Fin back when he first sold the business but was back in the queue. When I first heard the business was on offer again this winter I was flat out at work. March came around work slowed and I started making phone calls and sending emails getting information. It’s a right place right time situation.

    Cheers

  8. Another option is adding boot fitting foam to the outside of the liner. Generally will let you find a good mix of comfort and hold.

One thing to check for when trying on Zips is the ankle area. There is a hard doughnut around the ankle bone, inside and outside, that hurts for some people. Makes them unwearable for me personally.

  9. Rocker in ski jargon does not refer to a completely banana shaped board. Rocker is essentially the opposite of camber. Decambered doesn't make sense because as was pointed out its a verb. I decamber my board every turn I make, decambering is how a board turns. One can decamber the rocketed portion of a snowboard one can also think of it as bending.

  10. Intuition liners stretch a bit for length when they are molded. Also they have moldable foam around the entire toe box. When they are molded this foam compresses and makes more room, hence the importance of toe caps. Generally an intuition liner will feel uncomfortable and too short prior to molding so you need a bit of faith and mold them. This is generally a reason to get a liner from a shop as if they are unable to get the liner to feel correct they will refund your money.

  11. Hi Ladia,

The liner being smaller than the shell is pretty common in ski boots. If you take the liner to a bootfitter they should be able to stretch the forefoot of the liner pretty easily. I would try this before upsizing, it shouldn't cost more than $20. Be cautious if you choose to upsize an intuition, the larger size will have more volume and may be very tight on the foot.

  12. One of the best pieces of advice I was given was at an instructor clinic on Mt Hood, I'd been teaching in softies all season and I was riding plates come hell, high water or as it turned out 18"of heavy powder. There is a tendency in powder to try and stand on the back foot, this is exhausting and ultimately counter productive, my clinician suggested thinking of it as a lightening and softness in the front foot as opposed to a transition rearward and pressuring the rear foot. Give it a try if you go back out on hardboots, its remarkable how much difference HOW we thing of a particular motion effects the results.

Best of luck and I am envious
