  1. Good call on the pipe insulation.  Heading over to our local home depot to get some soon...

Also, the to runs to the right and left of the lift looking up the mountain are scary as sh*t, so don't make those your first runs of the first day... (Sundance Bown, Near South, Lower Mambo)...  Wait still the carving clinic for steeps before attempting...

And yes, watch out for the lift chairs.  The pole is in the center.  Make sure you are off to either side of the pole, or you will get whacked in the backside...

Also, impact pads for hip and tailbone, and knee pads are helpful...

Make sure you have 4x4 and good snow tires.  The turn front the main road to the road that goes up to Turner Mountain can get slippy...

  2. I ready...  Left ankle is healed and ready to try playing in the snow again...Bruce is shipping me one of my boards on Monday...  He's working on a super wide softboot board, but that might not make it with me to MCC...

Everything is booked and reserved...  Just trying to stay healthy and COVID-Free...

  3. Just booked my flights with Delta...

Flying in and out of Spokane, WA.  Arriving around 1:00pm on Saturday, Jan 29, and departing Saturday, Feb 5th around 2:00pm.

Will keep you posted on further details...  Would like to go to Schweitzer before or after MCC as I didn't get to go last time...  Depending on how my legs are, I can consider going to Whitefish...

    Cheers!

  4. Hi All,

Just registered for MCC 2022...  Baby steps...  In early stages of planning...  Will be flying in from NYC.  MCC 2020, flew into Spokane, WA...  Not sure If I will do Spokane this time, or maybe Kalispell.

I will probably be booking a single room in town, but will be happy to explore vehicle sharing if arriving and departing from same airport on same dates/times.

    Cheers,

    Tim

  5. On hold.  I am no longer in CA and back in NYC.  I am currently unable to ship, and will update when I will be able to again.

    Hi All,

I have a Burton Asymmetrical PJ 6.2 M-Series, regular stance.  I saw from this forum that this is probably from 1992...  Board is in excellent condition.  Base has no major dings or gouges.  Top sheet is also in excellent condition.  This board is located in zip code: 95616.  I will be there from 9/16/2021 to 9/25/2021 and will be able to ship during these dates.  I will also be able to give more detailed description of it's condition while I'm there.

Since this is vintage, and will probably just be more for collecting, rather than riding, I'll just ask for Best Offer +  Shipping.

    Cheers,

    Tim

  6. Hi All,

Long time no see/hear/post...  Hope all of you are well.

Anyway, I have an iWalk Free - iWalk 2.0 that I am no longer using.  I was given this by someone I met at the doctor's office who didn't need it anymore during my recovery from a lateral process fracture to the left ankle in March of 2021.

You can find out more info from their website:

    https://iwalk-free.com/

I won't post pics unless anybody wants them.  It is black and red.  It is in good working order, and I have the original box.  I only used it once.  It wasn't for me.

I hope nobody here will need it, but I figure I would offer it up and pass it forward, free.  Just cover the shipping from zip: 10025.

Looking forward to a good 2021/2022 season.

    Cheers,

    Tim

  7. Thanks!  Probably should have ridden hard boots instead today due to the icy conditions...

I’m out 4-6 weeks...  Will need to see an orthopedic doctor next week when I get home to see if there is additional soft tissue damage...  The doctors at Mt Snow were very good and X-Rayed the ankle, put me in a boot and crutches...  2 small fractures, so not terrible...  I’m actually not mad about it for some reason...  And fortunately nothing else is injured...

And yes the boot may actually work in soft binding, but I’m totally not going to test it out at this point...

  8. I’m out...  Fractured left ankle in 2 places at Mount Snow, VT today on my first run...  Had on soft boots...  Super icy, and way too fast...  Can’t even explain what happened... There was a bump, twist, and a pop...  A fitting end to this season...

    Cheers!

    Tim

  9. Just do it!  If I can pull off neon green boots, you can for sure pull off red boots!

Fake it till you make it!!!

Besides, red is a lucky color...

And better to have boots that fit your feet in the wrong color, than boots that hurt in the right color...

  10. I can recommend the UPZ XC-12...  I have the UPZ RC-11's and have changed the stock springs to the Free-flex springs.  These springs have made the boot much more comfortable...

Do not go for a stiffer boot unless you are already a professional racer with access to perfect snow...
