I stay away from Ajax, Snowmass and Highlands, there are people Skiing and Snowboarding, who just carry way to much speed to correct their path before Impact...Powder days, go anywhere, but Carving side to side is an accident coming to get you...even at Milk I have been run over and knocked out twice in the last 6 years, both times Straighteners, then after I came back to life, they both said...You Have no Right to TURN LIKE THAT !!! a lot of physical therapy and Exercises to correct the results both times...

that is Technique, the difference between the two Videos is "Terrain" and how it is utilized...
-
Personally, I believe this is a perfect demonstration of both Technique and Terrain Reading...
If you know of a Better one, please post it here...Thank You

This is a really good description of what is going on, thank you for mentioning the Hands, Anticipation and SEEING the Mountain Undulations as a Wave...more than anything IMO, Surf Style is a Perception and a combining of Styles from ones other Activities, over a lifetime, such as Skateboarding and Surfing in my case...Thanks Jack for posting this...

I rode one of these, pre 90 at Milkland, a gentleman from Switzerland I think? the platform was a couple inches higher, the skis shorter and it turned on a dime...after two runs and a serious high side I returned it...this looks way more advanced and a great Video shows what is happening....Really Cool to see the progression of this Idea

Nice Edit...though the Title is childish...
Should we all just start straight lining? Is getting smoked by the general public from behind the new norm?

There are a lot of Good Skiers here, that have been Carving for years...it is the People who equate SPEED with being good, who Ski maybe a week a year, who Bomb down the Hill, hands behind their back, Looking Good till they run over you... They are the Problem...and there are more each season it seems, as the Ski industry adds more Quads and increases Traffic on the slopes...
