  1. Ok. I'll switch to a one leg ride off. Thanks for the feedback. Great exercise on using this forum to improve.

Btw, I'm a 40 year boarder, always in plates, always clipped in first. I've been pinched bad by the chair and rear boot a few times. If the off ramp is long and icy, it's a 80% chance of a back slam or worse, leg split which hurts after a replaced hip.

I just have to man up.

  2. Same thing. Back in after 18 years and wow, what a difference. I'm coming off a hip replacement (last May) and was timid to spend too much money before I knew I could do this. I borrowed boots, boards and bindings. Foolishly spent $800 on a Mammoth pass (5 days so far @ $109/day) and bought some clothes. Once things were seemingly a go and I had an idea where things were landing for me, I was able to shop. At 220lbs I've ended up with:

    A Rusty Trihull 163 that I built

A used Coiler 178 Free Carve

A used 4mm boiler plate (in transent)

That Vintage 156 Rossi with TD1 bindings (prob for daughter)

Some new softish Deeluxe 225s after trying 700s/w yellow BTS

    Yellow BTS for the boots

Various other loaned Burton Coil boards

Sharp shooters here are going to say my boots and springs are too soft but I'm coming off Koflachs like what Damien Sanders wore. The stiffer boots were too hard on my legs and I like a Cush ride. Thus the boiler plate addition. So far the Coiler is a bear of a board but with this Nino we're getting wet snow that hardens up (bad luck in Cali to say the "I" word). I'm chattering and not digging in too well yet. However the next trip I expect to get things sorted and back on track.

My legs are fine from 6 months road riding 30-40 miles a few times a week. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  3. SOLD Up for grabs are these sweet DeeLux 700 boots. Booster Power strap. Everything works. Nothing broken. BTS compatible. Great shape no plastic tears. These came in a little bit too small so were selling them for the same price we bought them for. Just an insane deal at $200 plus shipping. Act quick and so will I. 7608466800 Henry

  4. Thanks, it's been a long time since I've been on a snowboard. 1998 is when we close down the rusty factory and I got a little disjointed about having to do that. That was a great job. But I'm on my way back and collected a few boards with the help of Carlo and Brooke. I'm looking at those boots real hard but I want to see how my first few days go with a May 22 hip replacement. I'm doing good days on my Rubiex bike well... 40 miles and everything feels good. If my hip is ago all be on for sure for Aspen 2016.
