That is really strange because Hubby and I were discussing your thread last night and he said your boots are from around 2004 before Deeluxe changed their buckle system. Who knows, you could write Deeluxe a mail and ask ;) They are a pretty friendy bunch.

OMG .... OUCH!!!

No problem! We always come across it again and again trying to find information about different boots, bindings, etc.
Cheers to Zemely and his crew! They've really done an amazing job collecting so much information about the
different vintage alpine gear.

I took a quick peak for you on Velvetpro. You can use googletranslate and look for Lemans. Lots of information about ever boot imaginable on there!
Here's the link... hope it : http://velvet.pro/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3996

Hmmm... so nothing has changed this season over there? Or how do you see it Lordmetroland?

OMG the Struwwelpeter is brutal! I can't believe they read that stuff to kids!!!
BTW they have very gruesome "Krampus" parades in South Tirol, Italy!

What kind of foot do you have? Size of foot? How tall are you and what's your weight? All important things to consider when choosing a new boot and inner boot :)

We wanted to order a copy of the magazine and wrote to him last month. We never got a reply
Anyone else heard anything?

I know this forum is mostly North American... but I see there is an Australia and NZ section.
Could you possibly add a Europe section as well? That would be awesome! Thanks

Yes, he's really great! We bought cables from him.
We bought our CC-Ibex binding directly from Carve Company.
We produce a 6mm back bail for F2 Titanium Race to correct the gap.

Oh, it certainly isn't "dying" per se. I just think the crowd is changing a bit. Many riders have the mentality of "I'm too old" due to the old school media, which has always made snowboarding to be something for the 15-25 year old crowd. I've noticed a lot of people who've quit are coming back though. This last season has had more alpine snowboarders than we've seen in years!

We are happy that the boot goes on to another athlete who will put it to good use
No point if it just sits somewhere collecting dust in a closet.

You guys are too funny LOL

Very interesting topic and pretty good answers. If you have any other specific NW questions, you should probably contact Ammann.

The newest version of F2 TRace is built that way. It is out of the box new and not bent.
When they switched from 5mm thickness, to 6mm thickness, they made the heel assembly
a bit longer to make it easier to step into the binding causing this gap which you see on
the photo. The plastic blue 3D printer version is the one we made to correct this gap
problem. Instead of having to buy a whole new binding, athletes can just replace the heel
assembly with the one we created. They are currently in production and will be available
for sale in May. Many other WC/EC have shown us that they also have the gap with
UPZ, Burton, Head (We haven't checked any others yet) and have pre-ordered a
heel assembly from us. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed the indirectness with
the newer F2 binding. Maybe someone rides with Raichle or Deeluxe and doesn't have
the gap. We just noticed it very pronounced with the Northwave Point Boots because
they are the ones we use.
Greetings Jennifer

Thanks a lot for your replies everyone!
My little guy will be turning 5. His shoe size is around 28-29EU (11USA).
I've seen the Burton kits in stores but was hoping there may be hardboot
options for kids. Mondo 22 apparently means everything under the sun *lol*
It mean "Earth" in Italian (had to look it up). I Haven't found the Raichle Bootyou suggested but I will keep looking. Thanks again!

Hey everyone!
Can anyone tell me the size of the smallest hardboot?
I couldn't really find any brand of boots smaller than 36 (5-6W USA).If anyone knows a smaller brand, please let me know.
Thanks Jennifer

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to know if other have noticed the new F2 Titanium Race binding (6mm thick heel assembly)is very indirect and has a 4mm gap between the binding and the boot (when partially tightened) and thenthe binding becomes curved and warped when completely closed. We've noticed this with the Northwaveand Burton boots and approx. 2-3mm gap with the UPZ boot. We haven't checked with any other brands.Does the new F2TR heel assembly fit better with other boots? Let me know... thanks!Greetings Jennifer(see attached photo) -

Can a board die?
in Carving Central
Posted
Hubby has been making comments on a particular test board and only discovered the board actually had died as 2 different riders had the exact same problem with the board... These problems didn't exist previously. So, to answer your question... YES!
