  1. I don't mean to hijack Sharkey's thread, but I'd like to post an update on my situation. My original boots are Raichle/Deeluxe SB 423 size 28. I just replaced them with UPZ RSV (predecessor to RC10?) size 27. I am using the black thermo liner size 28 from my old boots and they seem to fit well. The size, shape, and stiffness of the UPZ works much better for me. They're smaller overall, since they're a smaller size, but still have plenty of width in the forefoot, and a much narrower heel. I'm getting very little heel lift now. I've only had them on snow for a couple of hours, but I'm sold. I can't wait to try them again.

  2. John, different liners have different thicknesses and volumes. The black Deeluxe Speed liner is the thinnest liner I know, if you happened to use that one as a replacement. The red one has a lot more volume.

That is my exact situation; went red to black. I didn't know until I bought the new liners. Still looking at going down a size.

  3. I am experiencing the exact same thing. It's confusing b/c I know my feet haven't changed. I replaced the liners last season and the new ones seem to be even lower volume than the old ones. I tried using a 1/4" foam shim at the rear of the cuff, and some under the tongue. But they are still too big. I am looking at going down a size and getting new boots.

I am wondering if the fit hasn't changed as much as I think it has. As I've gotten better, I think I prefer a tighter fit. So the boots only seem looser.

  4. Hey Guys

It is true that I cannot make it to MAC Tracks this year. A friend of mine was going to bring the plate(s) to MAC Tracks in my place. But I have not heard anything back from Sean in a couple of weeks and I don't expect there is time to ship the plate(s) at this point. Sorry about that. I am still expecting to get a demo plate eventually and will try to make it available to as many people as possible while I have it.

  5. Most of my clothes dry easily in the dry climate of ski towns. The only thing I make sure of is to place my gloves near the heater/blower. Air flow makes more of a difference than heat. You know those little spring loaded plastic things that you can use to hold a drawstring tight on most jackets and gloves? Whatever they're called, on my last trip I wedged those things into the blower grate to hold my gloves in the airflow over night. They were always dry in the morning.

  6. Hey KneeDeep

Yes, the Burton uses 3-hole bindings. They are standard Burton plates, not rattraps (step-in). The Dynastar has a Lofo binding on it. It is not 3-hole or 4x4. The bindings screw directly into the board like a ski binding. This board was made before binding inserts were standardized. I have attached another picture showing the bindings in more detail.

I will find out how much it will be to ship these boards to you as soon as I can. I doubt I could have them to you in a few days though. I will get back to you ASAP.
