Thanks for the snow report Russ. Maybe I'll come on sunday instead. Need to visit the boat too, would be nice to get a few runs in as well.

Thinking of coming up on saturday for AM session. Anyone been out this week? How is the snow holding up?

I was planing to come up on Thursday but it looks like rain all week. Hope we're not heading towards an early end of the season. I might come up Saturday instead. Please keep the updates coming on the conditions.

Heading up for an AM session friday, hope it's not too icey after the melt and freeze. Had a great session last thursday with Russ, syncronized carving on almost empty runs using the whole width of the hill. Rain forecast for saturday. Anybody going to be there friday?

Yes, thanks for asking. I went out to watch her race in the 2 world cup PGS races at Telluride in Dec. After her win at the Steamboat NorAm race she is now ranked 3rd in FIS points in the US. I think Michelle Gorgone maybe the only US woman that qualified for the olympics in PGS, evan though there were 2 spots open.
I'll let you know if I'm coming up on a weekend. I do see Russ occaisionally on weekdays, rarely any other carvers.

I was up last Thursday. Conditions were great for carving, had the whole place to myself most of the morning! Heading up tomorrow, Thursday. Should be there at 9AM.

One thing that bugged me about the Torino SBX race was that the guy that got second in hardboots was clearly faster and was killing speed to keep from running over Wescot. Whenever he tried to pass, Wescot seemed to seemed to make erratic manuevers to block him or make it risky to pass. Are there any rules regarding passing/blocking, right-of-way?

I figured that since Misty was closed already that they were constructing the BX course there, but I know that they have to close the run for the PGS course a certain # of days ahead according to FIS rules.

yup, coming out from Minnesota. Last time I was there was about 10-12 years ago, the two consecutive years that the USASA races were there. Telluride remains my favorite area to ride. I've been waiting for a good excuse to return.
My daughter got her first USASA nationals podium there and now will be competing in the WC PGS there. I hope Telluride becomes a regular host for the WC in the future.
Have any idea which run the race will be on? I think it was on Lower See Forever for the USASA GS, which, I think might be rather flat for a world cup race.

One of the early all mountain carving boards designed to be ridden with either soft or hard boots. Softer in the nose, stiff in the tail. A very nice ride for someone 160lbs or less
Specs and ride are somewhere between a ATV and 4WD.
nose.....27
waist....22.4
tail.......26
radius...9 or 9.5m
Riden about 20 times. $160.00 or make an offer.

Thanks Jeremy, I think I just bought another ATV, closer to home. I'll be in touch if this deal falls through.

I think you can click on my username and send me an email from there. If that doesn't work, let me know.

I'm interested in an ATV. How much are asking? Can you post or send pictures?

Is the board still for sale?

Great fun riding with all you guys yesterday. Forgot how much fun a good day on corn snow can be. Jim taught us the limitations of metal boards, they don't cut through everything. Bob, great to meet you, can't wait to see the clips. Russ, as always had fun syncro-carving with you.
Just want to add that yesterday was the first day I rode my Prior ATV with a carving stance (rather than set back for pow) and it exceeded my expectations really carving smoothly, at speed, through that inconsistant slushy stuff, where my FC1 did not like it at all (too stiff). Thumbs-up for ATV living up to its name.
