  1. Found someone who knows how to do a decent base grind in Orange County. Have taken 2 boards to REI in Huntington Beach. They have a Grindrite machine with all the bells and whistles. There is a Tech there named Justin that has done a great job on the decks I have taken in. He put a real nice structure on the second deck. Even got my edge bevels at 1 degree and 88 degrees. Reasonable price for full tune with grind at about $45. Looks like they will try to keep the equipment running for the next 2 weeks or so and then store for the summer. Worth a look if you need a grind.

  2. Deeluxe Speed Liners 26.0 Mondo from 2007 Track 700 boots – molded once. Worn 1 half day in 2008. A little soft for my taste. $75 Shipped to Lower 48 States in US.

Intuition Alpine Liners 26.0 (Intuition size 8.0) – molded once. About 25 days on them. Stiffer than the Deeluxe liners above. Black marks on outer heal areas from cuff pivot and buckle rivet point on outer foot. $75 Shipped to Lower 48 States in US.

Will ship to US only (Sorry). Just don’t have time to deal with the Customs stuff right now.

Email me through BOL if you are interested. Can take Paypal. Thank you! Tom

  3. My wife and kids decided they want one more boarding trip for the season so will be bringing them along. My kids like Gunsmoke and the runs off J6 lift so it will work out good.

For food..... we usually buy on the mountain to support the local folks. This has been a tough year for them. I agree with Brooke that we should buy on the mountain anyway since they are hooking us up.

Gear... Will be bringing a Donek plated Volkl 173 and 1 other board yet to be decided. May need to bring a pow board if the second storm materializes.

Lance, My vehicle is going to be full now. My apologies dude. Tom

  4. Thanks Bordy! I do not aspire to be a world cup racer but would be looking to improve my racing/carving skills and just have some fun. Would this camp work for that?

Sinecure - Man Chile sounds cool but I have to do some research. Good suggestion.

Bryan, If I make it up that way will have to check out your collection of boards.

    Thanks! Tom

  5. Yo Theo, Bummer about your GS board. I have an older proto 185 Burton Factory Prime - Stiff and 21 cm waist. Was built for a Burton Team rider back in the day. My friend Jake rode it once and said it was scary fast. I will make you a starving student deal you cant refuse. Email me if you are interested. Thanks! Tom

  6. Neil, Drop by my desk tomorrow. I will leave in a plastic bag by my laptop. Found a pre-shortened t-nut and M5 pan head screw (6mm long) and a few washers if needed. Drilling the rivet on the boot should be easy as they are pretty soft material. Center punch the rivet head first if you have a punch. Thanks! Tom

  7. Yo Neil, You back in the office tomorrow? I have an SB arch strap and buckle you can have. Think the buckle should work. Also have some hardware that you can use to attach the buckle to the boot (T-nut and M5 screw). Would need to shorten the t-nut on my bench grinder though which would require an extra day. Let me know. Thanks!! Tom

  8. Just thought I would throw this out there.... Anyone have any recent experience with Alpine focused Summer Camps at Mt. Hood? My wife and kids are heading out of the country this summer and I have some free time on my hands. Looking to burn some vacation, get some snow time and improve my riding skills. Haven't been to Hood in 20+ years so any info/guidance would be appreciated. Thanks! Tom

  9. Was up at June over the weekend. Conditions were better than expected. Snow received last week helped a lot. There were a few alpine riders up there both days. Glad to see others on the hill and some decent conditions. More snow expected this week.

Cool video from "back in the day". It's great to see video and read about the true origins of the sport.

    Thanks for posting this bOardski.

    Mick

Mick, You probably don't remember me from the Bingham's Crew. If I remember correctly, you were one of the original Winterstik riders back the day with Dimitri. I recall seeing some video of you in the Utah backcountry from around the early 80's. Take care, Tom

  11. Neil, Heading up to June this weekend. Will probably see Eric to pick up a board. I am most likely in for 3/24 and 3/25. Will try for 3/22 and 3/23 if my schedule allows. Let's go grab lunch with Jake next week to discuss SNES if you are in town. I am willing to help out for SNES on the days I will be there. Thanks! Tom
