  1. Jack,

I have set up gates before, if afton is willing to let you set and run the course for free I would be happy to help you set them up. The key is making sure the fall line doesn't lead the rider down into a lift tower (or a snow gun) in the event of a boot out on the course, which is the challenge at afton. Let me know if you want a hand.

    Noah, is that you?

  2. I left a little early, I wasn't feeling to hot and it was kinda pointless to stay if I was gonna be on accidents all the time.

The flip HD mino cam that I got was able to take some pretty good footage for being so cheap and so small. This is the video taken on friday, for those thinking about getting a cheap camera to ride with all the time. For whatever reason, youtube keeps crashing when I try to upload the video, and facebook wont embed the HD version.

Some footage that I was taking before I left today.

  3. The boots are old burton shadows. The heel clamp on the back foot broke, it was only made from plastic. I am between a size 9.5/10, Bob I will let you know if the repair shop can not fix them. I am hopeful they can be repaired, drilling out the rivets and putting on a replacement heal clamp should be pretty simple, I just didn't have the tools or I would have done it myself. I rode a couple of runs with medical tape holding the boots 1/2 way tight. Benefits of having that vest with gear on all the time, although I am thinking next year I will just buy a season's pass.

  4. Today was amazing. It was really hard and fast in the morning, softened up and got perfect around 2. Unfortunately for me, that is when my heal clamp broke on my back foot boot. I am hoping that the ski shop can fix them cheap, if not I may be getting new boots. Any recommendations?

  5. I ride hard boots and soft at afton (depending on conditions). I am on patrol so I stand out a bit with my patrol vest on. I normally am digging trenches on chair 2. But I was not there on the 28th.
