  2. I think the fact that reefer is considered "performance enhancing" is ludacris! Weather on not Ross partook is moot, the clock doesn't lie and he won. I wonder if Michael Phelps wins are going to be contested over the next 20 years after the pic of him doing bong rips hit the world media stage. Give Ross what is owed to him, acknowledgement as a gold medal winning olympian. Word is, he can still hold his own in a race course.

  3. Talked with the Burton rep at Beaver Creek about a week ago about the channel. He reassured me the the failure rate of this new system is nil! I have to somewhat agree though, it doesn't look very substantial. I don't believe that Burton has that many boards in their line up without it. Burton has always led the field in screwey non-standard snowboard/binding mounting systems. Propritary mounting system keeps people that are buying Burton boards to also buy Burton bindings. I have got to believe that other binding manufactures have come up with compatible systems. And yes Neil, I don't think this system would stand up to alpine abuse very well.

  4. Just remeber, post count is not necessarily an accurate representation of skill level. Internet snowboarding can sometimes get overly opinionated and rambunctious. There is lots of good info shared on here and lots of b.s. also, usually not to hard to deciminate between the good and the bad. Welcome to Bomber!

I wish that the count had an effect on ability. I would be on here every day I was not on the snow. But does that mean that the guys with counts above 1000 are actually never on the snow???:D

Unfortunately yes, often this is the case.

  5. Dude... you have less than 500 post and you've been around since the new forum was established.... you have no clue what you're talking about....

Your right, but I find it sometimes entertaining to pretend.:eplus2: One day I will hit 500, then I can be part of the cool kids club!

  8. "Nope, not me, TVR is correct that I work in a print shop with solvent inks."-Ink

That definately does explain some things. Just hackin on ya; remeber, it wasn't that long ago and I was playing with UV activated inks, super nasty stuff! I want to say it was my buddy Timaaaaay West who as toting around a large bag with a bunch o Incas in it. It way around the last Summit Co/Eagle Co SES. Timaaay! You out there lurkin, you still got them Incas?

  9. Our brother Kimo has been going through another harsh round of doctors poking around in his brain. He is experiencing some swelling inside that needs to be aliveated and I believe that this is complications related to the brain tumor that he had removed previously. He is one tough bird. My prayers are with you Kimo.

  10. Tuning your board is the only way to understand how the machine works. Its always worth your investment in time to learn how to do it properly. Try not to overcomplicate it, its not rocket science but you definately need to invest in the proper tools to get the job done porperly.

  11. Best $10 I have ever spent. I have to give props to Sol Vista for providing an affordable, night time riding experience. It was vacant. My kids had a blast and we are looking forward to another Saturday evening at Sol Vista.:biggthump

  12. While you are in the area, pay homage to Arapahoe Basin, and if you have time, get over to Beaver Creek also. The Beav is tops for carving, best groom in Colorado. Also, Keystone is an option, excellent grooming, loooong runs and the night riding option. When are you coming and will you have wheels while your here? Check the Colorado Summit and Eagle County ride board, someone local will more than likely be riding while your in town and there is nothing like having local on mountain knowledge to optimize your experience. Also, take a look at Loveland, there is a large, ever growing and highly entertaining, I mean skilled group that amasses there almost every weekend. It's worth the trip just to ride with this crew.
