  1. Ok, so I am the proud new owner of this Madd 170 via big canuck. I have to know what the original owner was thinking when "the Cornholer" was put on this board? Anybody willing to stand up and admit to its origin and what it means, so when I get asked in the liftline I can have a reasonable answer......

  2. I am the proud new owner of a pair of TD3's . trying to set up the cant on front / rear properly. The bindings have 3 notches in them meaning they are 3 deg cant. I would like to have a few degrees of inward cant on both front and back and the standard front toe lift and rear heel lift. There does not seem to be any indications on the bindings as to the extent of the canting. Is it just a visual thing? Instructions call for you to 'run the lift angle between 90 deg and your stance angle'.With 90 deg being 'traditional'. where should I locate the E-Ring in relation to the Centre disk to get inward cant on both front and rear?? I usually run around 63 on the front and 58 on the rear stance angle.

BTW, they are getting mounted on a brand new checkerplate Coiler 173 VSR that if it carves half as good as it looks, I will probalby wet my pants.

  3. looking at jumping out to kicking Horse next week with some guys. can anyone tell me if this resort is carving friendly?? would my Renntiger 178 or my Prior 4WD be more applicable (probably take both anyway). also, has anyone been there recently and can comment on conditions? i heard Whistler is horrible, not sure what Kicking Horse is like.... would like to know before i committ.

  4. I am looking for some instructional videos for carving... at my ski resort the only board instructors want to either drag me down the terrain park or push me into the half pipe with my alpine board!!!!! i have just picked up the sport this year and am having a BLAST on my 178 Renntiger, but now that i have mastered the art of getting down the hill without breaking any bones, i feel i need some help getting rid of that plumbers butt and start getting 'closer to the snow'. i feel really good on the toe turn, but the heel is still a mystery.

i have not been able to find anywhere to find any videos on alpine instruction, any suggestions?? i have been following a bunch of threads in this forum but there is nothing like SEEING it in action and explained why).

  5. thanks for the feed back.. i guess being form Canada you were trying to convert from cm - inches for me??? :-) .....

the board i picked up must a few years older, cause it does not have the graphics that the new version does. it is just straight black. do you think the specs wold still be the same?

i cant seem to stop this bad boy from wanting to go straight down the hill !!! it just wants to go FAST............
