  1. I'm reminded of bragging to my friend Bob who was full time ski bum in Colorado at the time, "I've got 65 days in so far this season! You?" He looked a bit perplexed, paused for a moment and said, "I'm not sure how many days I skied. I know I've missed 3 days so far."
  2. That's about right. Not much for turning but you sure get back on the lift quick.
  3. I'll see if I can get in close on the photo...
  4. I went up to Cypress today to cruise the crud and ended up cursing and crude because I could NOT keep up with this little tornado. Awesome.
  5. Here are photos of the board, bindings, the worst scratch and some sort of little indention that was likely there from the factory? (I never noticed it before.)
  6. Boarding the Emerald chair at Whistler once an angry old man with a German or Austrian accent started shaking his finger at me and yelling. "YOU ARE COMING DOWN THIS MOUNTAIN LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE!" I was stunned. All I could say was... "thank you."
  7. I have a couple of Vintage Sims snowboards but the one that might be the most interesting to someone would be the Sims Ace. It is a Regular foot 175. I have the original hard boot bindings and the setup has been ridden one time. I am looking for a board I can ride in powder and in all around conditions after the cord is thrashed. The fact of the matter is that the Ace is a massive big wide thing that would probably float through powder just fine. And I will try it out if no one has something suitable for trade. I just thought that since the thing is practically as new, I would give it a chance to find a home with someone that might really dig it. thanks! Robert
  8. I am looking to take a video camera up to Cypress to practice filming with it for an upcoming project. If you are going up between the 19th and 23rd or so of March, message me here or you can e-mail me at robert(at)robertearnest.com and perhaps we can meet up and goof around with it.
  9. Anyone have a zero cant disc and bumpers for a TD1 setup? I only need one but would take two if you have a set you want to get rid of. Thanks!!! R
  10. Where are you located?
  11. It seems no matter what I ride (and admittedly I haven't the majority of boards out there) I always seem to have the best times on my 197 burner. It is super fast, super stable and just seems to chew up ice or bumpy crud with equal disregard. Perhaps I am just too heavy for my other boards at just under 200 pounds but while they have half the sidecut radius and feel like an Audi TT, I always return to the Veyron feel of the big Burner. But of course, it won't last forever. I know I'll weep when that tail snaps as I have to lay it out to avoid some tiny meat pylon in the wee ski program who did or didn't turn when I thought they would as I push my luck to get in "just one more" before it gets "really" crowded. So, where do you go from there? If you snapped your burner, what would be next? Surely after all these years there is an even better board out there? Something as fast and damp that feels like you are riding on railroad tracks? I would assume it would be a full on race board but if not tell me what and why if you have an opinion and the time. Thanks!
  12. For $200 I will personally pack it and ship it to your specifications at your expense. Packing at my expense because I know that I will do a good job. Shipping at yours with whomever you wish to ship with. And insurance at your discretion, expense and responsibility. Unless I get a better offer? Do I hear $201? r
