    P.s. The rust you have on your edges is probably surface rust which can be removed with gummi as already stated.I've seen rust form in minutes after sand plasting metal.But thats when I lived near the beach.I think most boards that come from the factory these days are not polished out which doesn't stop rust but slows it down.Also never put your board facing down in a salted parking lot.If you have your board tuned make sure they finish the edges with a polish.

  10. Anyone ever ride at zermatt?

    I had the pleasure of going to Zermatt years ago as you can tell by the picture.I was working for Sims and went to Switzerland to race and checkout the snowboard scene in europe.It was a exciting time for snowboarding Ptex bottoms metal edges and many of the european riders were making home made plate bindings and using their ski boots to race.Sims was making the highback binding that is still used today.The U.S.was still leary about letting snowboards on the hill but europe was taking off.I stayed with Andy Tanner

    who lived in Zurich and had just opened his first snowboard shop Beach Mountian. Andy and Jose Fernandez where two of the top riders in europe and fellow Sims team mates.At the time of my arrivel the only place with snow was Zermatt so thats were I was headed.It was so cool no cars no stop lights no traffic.I had traveled a long way and couldn't wait to go boarding in the elps.Well when I got to the ticket booth Big sign NO SURF ALLOWED I was use to that in the states so I wasn't about to turn around.I bought my ticket and I got in line.They stop me and said no surf. In front of me was a monoski so I turned my board so that all they could see was the P tex and I said no monoski monoski And they waved me thru yes I was stoked.Man what a rush.The Matterhorn was bigger than life not like the one at Disneyland.My first run was great but I decided to go out of bounds bad mistake. I fell and when I pushed to get up I was looking down a fifty foot cravas. Luckly I didin't fall in.Stay in bounds.

    I rode gunsmoke Sat. they had'nt groomed it and it sucked.It was my first day of the season I was bummed I took up my new Virus stealth and new Swoard.They hadn't groomed for three days.I was going to storm the office if it wasn't groomed on sunday. But to my surprise they groomed. Monday was empty and gunsmoke was smokin. Get it while you can.

    Gunsmoke is the perfect carving run not favoring goofy or regular its the kind of run you can get your rythm on. They started building jumps a couple

    of years ago for Danny Kass to show his stuff. But he's the only person that can do anything on them . They're Huge most people avoid them so the run

    is unridden such a waste. We've signed forms to keep it jump free but no luck.

    Brian I plan to go up after the first also I'll let you know when I do.

    We need more coverage before I break these babys out.

    We got spoiled last season .

    Tim nice ride we should all hook up soon to carve.Ray I'm setting my angles

    at 60 60.I think I'll ride the virus a few times before I send it to PTC.

    I'm a little nervous sending it.Maybe I'll send my pit bull BOWSER to escort it.

    Paul I've been wanting to get a Virus for two years but Santa Claus forgot me both times so I figured hell I'll put one under the tree myself. I raised two boys myself and must have bought a dozen surfboards a year for each of them.They'd snap em and I'd buy another one.Well they're grown and all Dad wants to do is carve.Buy it.
