Need to block off time from reffing hockey. Only nights I can't make it is if my daughter is playing hockey. Loopback and I are talking about doing $10 Thursdays at Calabogie in Feb.

  2. For sale;

157 SP Comet. Bought new 2 years ago from a local store that had them in storage. Had a little rust on the edges that were cleaned up with a basic tune.

Bindings are Rossignol, not sure of the model.

Wanted to try carving but not spend a lot of money. Just bought a Coiler AM so time to see if another beginner might be interested.

Looking for $100 OBO plus shipping for the board and bindings.

  3. Be it known that I am 3rd in line, and you are BEHIND me...however, I would let you sneak ahead of me if...

    A) You are currently not in possesion of one of these.

    B) And you have not owned one of these before.

    C) You can provide proof of such assertation.

    D) You desire greatly to possess this wonder tool.

    E) You own a sense of humor to go with this ribbing....

Blood sample, proof of citizenship and first born (he's a good kid)

    As per your criteria..

    A) The only boards I have right now are an SP Comet and a Burton FP that had an unfortunate meeting with a rock while at Tremblant.

    B) This is my first full year carving and have only ever owned the boards mentionned in A)

    C) I can have Loopback vouch for me as he got me into this great sport to begin with or can provide a note from my mom

    D) The desire is there however seeing as my wife was just layed off the funds may be a challenge.

    E) as for the sense of humour..nobody likes a good laugh more than I do... except, perhaps my wife... and some of her friends. Oh, yes, and Captain Johnson. Come to think of it, most people like a good laugh more than I do, but that's beside the point! I'm warning this thread NOT to get SILLY again! Right!"

  4. I have SP Comet - 157, with bindings. would sell for $100.00 plus shipping. Bought it last year, first time carving. Used the board 5 times. Board was new, in storage but never used. Bindings work great. Can send pics. Let me know.

  5. Surf Q, as Loopback mentioned I'm now on a Burton FP 157. Not sure I can provide a vaild comparisson to the Comet. I rode the Comet 4 times at the end of last year which was my first time on a carving board and only my second time boarding. Add to that one of the times was at Mont Tremblant on "death cookies". Plus the bindings on the comet were softer than the TD 2's i now have. I'm going to put the TD 2's on the Comet tonight and head out tomorrow night to try it.

    WIll keep you posted
