  1. My Coiler AM metal 177. Man it was sweet. I had picked up enough confidence after run #2 that I felt like the board was a little too tight for me, turning radius wise... almost made me want to try that pure race of yours again. Oh, and I picked up that rad air tanker 192 from Brent btw... should be coming tomorrow!
  2. I'm riding on a pair of UPS's, I'm actually not sure what year or model actually... Four buckle, black, kinda flexy to begin with, very comfy. Sam.
  3. Had an interesting moment today... went up for first tracks at Timberline Lodge this morning, and was greeted with some of the best conditions I'd ever encountered on Mt. Hood. Hero groom all morning without too much of a crowd. I was just having a blast, and felt like my transitions were smoother and easier than ever. Initially, I thought this was due to the conditions, but about 2 runs in I finally noticed that my snowboard pant leg had crept down and kept open the forward lean mechanism. Apparently my rear boot was not locked forward. I kept it that way all morning until my tired legs required me to lock it finally, giving me some power again but sacrificing the flexibility I had all morning. I guess this is what riding with a BTS system is like. I want one. Too bad my boots are not compatible. :( Sam.
  4. Whoowee! I wasn't expecting much when I went up on a last minute whim today, but managed to get up to T-line early enough for first tracks. Was the second person in line at Stormin' Normin' when they opened it. Cut boarder's right at the top and took on Kruzin. Oh. My. God. Hero cord all the way down. Probably one of the best mornings I've ever had on Hood. Proceeded to attack Stormin' Normin' and Mustang Sally all morning, whoopin' and hollerin' the entire time like a fool. Of course, the fun stopped once the crowds arrived and the surface got all tracked out, still managed to find some smoother areas under the lifts. Around 11:30 the rain started and that's when I decided to call it quits. Usually I'm a MHM kinda guy, but man, this morning at T-line was an eyeopener. I think that T-line does a better job of grooming, there were no grooming ruts or shelves in sight. Sam.

    Cateks!

I've got a pair of Catek OS2 step-ins, long, 2 years old, in good condition for sale. The set has normally expected wear and tear on the heel receiver but is otherwise in great cosmetic and functional condition. D3 elastomers are also included. $225 obo.
  6. Of course, I wouldn't expect you to lend me your brand spanking new, shiny, limited 200 either, especially to someone you don't know. I'm sorry, from previous posts I thought that you carried them and sold them. My misunderstanding. I live in Portland and my haunt is MHM. I ride a Coiler AM 177 in white with blue flames and I usually hang out on shooting star with the occasional run down Arena off of cascade if they're open. We haven't met yet I don't think in person. I remember seeing a couple guys, probably you, on some ENORMOUS boards and hardboots one season before I was a full fledged carver. I remember thinking that the boards were not only long but a bit wider than most of the other carving boards I'd seen, so my curiosity was piqued. I'm pretty sure it must've been you guys on a pair of rad-airs. Anyway, if you're willing to lend an older radair to a local who's been curious about tankers for a while now, I'd be more than grateful. If you'd rather not lend to a stranger, that's completely understandable and I won't hold it against you for a second. Hope to see you on the mountain! I'll probably be going up tomorrow morning actually! Sam.
  7. Hey Bryan, Are you still carrying those 200's for sale? I'm interested in picking up a rad air sooner or later, and I happen to be local to you... Is there any way that I can demo one of these out?
  8. Sintered black base, with a little stylized orange "x" at the nose.
  9. I was the one that picked up cfj04's element... I took it out to the slopes for the first time yesterday for some real carving in ideal conditions... I have the 178. I'm a beginner and my previous board was a Rossi 172 Race, and I don't have much experience on other boards, but I have to say yesterday was an eyeopener. The ride was very damp with quite a lot of pop for some easy transitions. Endless edge hold. Needless to say I was STOKED. Sam.
  10. If you've decided to break them up, I'd be very interested in taking the board and the bindings together from you. Any idea how much you'd be asking for for the two of them together? Sam.
  11. I'm interested but I'm not sure if this board is a little short for me... I'm about 5'10" and 190 lbs, fairly new to carving... Will the 172 work for me? I was thinking it might be on the short side... my last carving board was a rossi 172 race and it felt kinda short for me. Sam.
