See you tomorrow at Buttermilk...
-
Tahoe is not too wonderful right now. But, we're flying to Vail [and Aspen] in 3 days for a week! (Sorry, shameless gloating.)
:)
-
Bumpity bump. The T-hawk is still available. I could deliver the board at SES if that helps...
-
Price drop on the board in posts ## 32, 34 -- $350. Email me at colintkemp at yahoo dot com if interested.

Slow "winter" in Tahoe too.

Adobe Road, Kemp Vineyard Zin.
Adobe Road, Kemp Vineyard Syrah.
(Yes, you can do the math on who "Kemp Vineyard" is... Small acreage in Healdsburg, CA; folks are the proprietors.)
Holdredge Pinos also.

We're Vail that entire week, but I'm coming over for sure. Just don't know when yet...

I hope this helps ...on how the plate works. this was not an easy task (after 6 pints) to flex board and take the photo myself.
Wow.
The most amazing thing about all of that is what it really shows -- Take guy who rides goofy, give him 6 pints, and he starts acting like he rides regular... :D

Fantastic. Just ordered. Thanks Alex.

Bump. Email me if interested and we can talk about price.

I would hazard a guess that a typical GS-style freecarve run on good groom would top out at like 30mph if you're really cooking.
Exactly. I've always assumed that when I'm absolutely flying down the mountain, scary fast, that I'm going, oh, about 20. Of course, I'm still rad.
And this is reminiscent of folks saying they do 45 degree steeps all the time...

Mani, what is the waist on that Kessler? (It seems a bit narrower than usual. Maybe that is just my eyes.) Also, what binding angles are you running on those boards? Thanks,

Oops -- the pic with the repair did not make it up. I'll try to re-size it and post. Sorry for the confusion.
-
Here are some more pics of the titinal Tomahawk. As noted above (posts 24, 30), it's a 180 with a 16 SCR. I've included a shot of the repair job where the skier ran into the board (similar repair work on small part of nose - the other ski). $425 + shipping from San Francisco. Email me with questions etc. at colintkemp at yahoo dot com, or for more pics. Thanks for the look. (I'll try to upload a few more pics next too.)

I am the second owner (bought from Guido here last year; board was custom built for him). Titinal 180, SCR is 16 (not variable). I'll send more specs and more photos once I'm back home from Tahoe.
Price is $425 + shipping from San Francisco. The sharp discount results from the fact that there is some topsheet damage (fully repaired) from a skier running into board. I bought the board like that and it rides like a beast; the topsheet damage is purely cosmetic.
I am selling because I don't ride it -- I always go to my Kessler and Coiler. Someone who will use it should own it.
I'll also sell my Prior and Vist too, FYI.
More later.
And Kurt: Sorry, but I'm loving the S-Flex on the Coiler... And what is this thing you call a "slalom" board?
-
Actually, I have a 180 titinal T-Hawk I will sell. Look at my profile; you'll see the board, second from the left. Let me know if you are interested. (How about this for a thread jack of an ancient thread...)
-
How about this:
- I am right handed (throw right handed, write right handed).
- I am left eyed (I shoot [guns, bird hunting] left).
- I am left footed (I kick left footed).
- I carve, regular
- I slalom ski (water), goofy
- I skate vert and freestyle, regular
- I downhill skate (sliding, etc.), goofy.
-
Is the plate flexing dramatically in that last picture (under the back boot/binding) or are my eyes making that up?
Thanks,
-
how many racers are also mac users? :D
Wait, isn't there an app for that? :D

When K. Martin hucked those big airwalks in the video, I immediately thought of Rodney.
Have you ever acquired gear from BOL?

I've bought new plates and boots from Fin and team; I've bought post-SES demo plates from them; I've bought boards and plates on the classifieds; and, I've sold boards on the classifieds. I'm a satisfied customer!
