the friction mustve been terrible, the plastic at least lubricates itself a bit when the friction heats it up.

made a pair of slide gloves today, my process was as follows

1. buy supplies

-tight garden gloves with rubber compound dip

-velcro, (in case other adhesion methods fail)

-plastic cutting board at least 1 CM thick

2. cut paper slide puck templates

3. draw slide puck outlines on cutting board

4. cut out pucks with jigsaw

5. cut out pucks again because the heat from the jigsaw melted them back to the cutting board

6. try various methods of adhesion to gloves including

-super glue

-melting them to the glove with propane torch

-elmers

7. settle for velcro and safety pins

8. ride

hope that helps some people, the gloves work like magic, though not quite as well as commercially manufactured gloves, a close second, and a bit cheaper.

I dont have degree markers on my rattraps, so its more of an eyeballing thing, but i realized that the lower angles were killing my heelside, so I cranked em up for the last few days of the season, helped a bit:rolleyes:
