fun board, not for aggressive riders, but great for a woman who cruises or doesn't get out often

    http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/2007-Plamer-Touch-Womens-31404.asp

i tried this one a few years bask, liked it fine, palmer has some great bases, and for the money this one rocks

the atomic boards are well constructed and the tika is my pick for their intermediate womens board

also, if you can find a k2 luna for a good price, that was one of my favorite boards ever, i'm just past it now

for reference when i demoed most of those, or owned in the case of the luna, i was at an intermediate level, and didn't get out often cause i lived in new orleans.

as for burton, the feather, or feelgood are solid, unfortunately, i'm too strong for the feelgood, or feelgood es in my size, so my softie board atm is a customx

a couple other solid, lower cost brands are option ( i looved the bella) and omatic... 2nd year out... i tried the tara dakides model last year and it was awesome, but i think the int board is called the benatar, last year they were dist by sports authority, but i think evogear in seattle has em now.

    happy hunting

  2. thanks recon, i wont make it ill after x-mas... UPS is kickin my arse, but trust me, i'll let u know, as long as u promise no pics, i haven't been in hard boots for over 3 yrs, and being a good southern girl, never had other carvers to tell me i looked like a doofus...:biggthump

  3. thanks recon, i'll let you know first chance i get to go there, super busy these days cause i work for the brown monster, but hey small boards work for me, i'm not that big...lol 5'7" 150# big for a chick i guess, but not big for this site:), we might just be able to save ya shipping on one of your sale boards:biggthump

  4. yeah, i've got a pair of ups boots kicking around in my gear room... old ones, but more comfy than the newer pair i sold...lol, will be heading up to the shoe asap, 6 hrs, but i have a season pass. i'm soo rusty tho, its gonna be funny

  5. Nah, it's a dilatant or "non newtonian fluid", the most common example of which is a mixture of corn starch and water known as "oobleck".

Basically, it's something which is fluid when moved slowly, but hardens under sudden shear forces. As such, it's the exact opposite of what you want for a helmet.

  6. WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO

Did Mervin realease the twin tip reverse camber, revearse sidecut twin tip powder board yet? I have skiied the spatcula they work well I bet the twip tip pow board also is sick.

that one is called the "Banana Hammock" and i played with one in a shop.... very interesting, pure pow monster

the one with just reverse camber is called the skate banana, and i did get to demo it last year, was ok, though it was def not a pow day, and it supposedly excels in pow as well

  7. not worth the money, Vail, keystone, steamboat(unless you have a dump and are a tree junkie), winter park, killington, mt snow, mammoth, loon and tremblant

honorable mention for being crappy for the price you pay but not as bad as the above: brekenridge, waterville valley, bretton woods and anything owned by intrawest that I've not already mentioned

hey bob, what if ya get %50 off lifties at steamboat and have a skier with ya?

  8. anyone know anything about the Vizio L42 HDTV?

    link: http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/188805/catOid/-12867/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

I preffer best buy's plan with the 3 years no interest so the westinghouse 42'' looks more favorable.

    dude...

if you want vizio, try tigerdirect.com.... they do some financing, and i picked mine up at the outlet in my city for less than $1000 with extended warranty

42in plasma, schweet pix, great brightness

granted, i put mine on my rewards card, got my free gas, and paid it off the next month

  9. still got the boots?, looking for an ugly/cheap startup pair for my girl, but not sure about how the size will work, her ski boot size is generally between a 26 - 27 mondo depending on the boot, any thoughts?
