  1. I was at Summit form 8 to 12 Sunday riding with Acoustic Boarder. It was a lot of fun, really good carving from 8:30 on to 12.

The snow under chair 7, especially the lower section, was awesome. By noon there were some hard spots showing

and it was getting pretty warm, the lower mountain was a bit slushy.

I rode my Madd with newly sharpened edges so maybe that helped my turns.

Actually it felt so good that I think I'll sell off most of my other boards.;)

We also got to see Terry haul someone down in a toboggan!

  2. Hello All,

I was the new carver who showed up on Sunday. Sorry to leave early (I had to leave early to go to work that evening :(); I really had fun riding with you guys.

I know I have a lot to learn (and thank you guys for all your tips). I am looking forward to see you guys again in the future.

Hey G (I am correct here, right?)

It's great to have new people getting into carving.

Make sure you you let us know when you want to try that Renn tiger.

Somebody has boots you could try if you don't have them yet( I have some very old size 10 boots), and I have some bindings I may sell.

  3. The grooming is horrible this year..this has been three days at east for me where the grooming is some of the worst I've seen.

    First tracks!

Sunday was good at first but the snow got rough fast with the crowd.

It snowed from 2pm Sat to 8 am Sun. They need Summit's groomers up there.

Good to see you guys Theo.

  4. Chair 7 is the favorite at Summit, someone will be there on almost any Sunday.

Summit usually grooms smoother and has more variety than Mt High, but Mt high East has always been fun for me because it's a mile and a half long and 1600ft vert with a high speed quad. But with the jumps they added last year they kind of ruined the

    upper part.

You should try some of the other resorts in So Cal also for a little change,

just post when and where first.:)

    See you up there.

  5. Hey Lance

    Good to hear from you!

Yeah, I'll carpool with you but I may be a little out of the way(57 and 210 fwys).

My Doc said I will be riding this season so that's the info I'm going on. I'm walking all over the place but not always without limping, but then again I couldn't walk two months ago. I may start after the 1st of the year though.

Thanks for the post. I think we mislabled it a hairline. It was a definite Tib/Fib as my lower leg was angled forward quite a bit more than normal right after I hit. The surgery was for the Tibial Plateau fracture on the left side of my knee(Buell was right on). Part of the Plateau broke off and need to be pushed back up and held in place with the plate and screws.

It's was great hearing from everyone local and from you and Buell and Carvedog.

Here's a front view of my "Plate"(and screws).
