  1. Hi - I'm looking at board & binding set up. I see your in TO as well. If you still have gear available I'd like to check it out. I'm in the collingwood area every weekend if that works out for you as well. Thanks Adam
  2. Hey I'm in TO. Mind if I give you a ring/email to check out the FP & binding? Thanks Adam
  3. I was at the peaks Sat & Sun - 1st full day on a plate board - I'd would think they were perfect days to learn on. Mornings were stiff corderoy that held up really well until about noon/1pm. things started to pile up a bit on the less steep runs after that. Sunny & nice...good for drinking beer on the patio as well... I'm still aching head to toe today - wow - plating is sooo different from soft boots. Amazing what's possible on one of these boards. I was smilin all day shaking my head in disbelief at how fast and hard this board wants to go - no casual cruising allowed...
  4. Hey Sleevez I'm 180/85 ibs & my skiboot size is 26-27.5 - assuming sizing is the same (Salomon X-Wave 10 boots) (size 10/10.5 shoe but I always ride my ski & snowboard boot smaller...& skate shoes...) Right now I ride at Georgian Peaks most of the time b/c I have a friend signing me in & there is daycare for my little guy. I'm up for riding at Blue or St. Louis if your around as well. Or I'm sure I could get you signed into the peaks. Thanks for the response/offer. Cheers Adam
  5. More reading & searching web sites required..... I know. YYZ - close to home - only new..? Nice site. Home grown. I like. Squires - went there today - lotsa mula.... Wife's on mat leave - no new toys for this kid right now (just used b/c I can talk her into it......) Thanks - anyone?
  6. I'm becoming obsessed... I'm on my board or skis every weekend and I see a few plate boarders everywhere... I need a new toy. All I do on my freeride board is try and lay down the biggest carves I can anyway - I belong on plates.... So the question is - does anyone in the GTA what to sell some used equipment? It's too expensive for me to get into this with new stuff right now. I'd probably be looking to use my ski boots for now unless I found some for a good price. I need some coaching. Board type/size/turning radius - for Ont hills? General costs for used (quite the range I'm sure). Other message boards to check? Thanks Adam
  7. Looking to get into plates for a decent price. I've been boarding & teaching for 16 yrs now & need a new fix/twist to the sport. I tried it years ago & love it - just never bought one... Would the Mistral be decent for 180 lb guy for a few seasons (newish to plates)...???? I'm in TO so I'd like to get something local if possible, cheers adam
