  1. Heading up to 49 to try out the hardboots. Next friday heading to Schweitzer. Toyota ski free day. Managed to get an other pair of boots. Going to test both on saturday. b0ardski if you want to meet up on friday let me know. This will be my first time up there. Not sure just yet if I will be taking the hardboot setup. All depends on this weekend and how well I take to it.
  2. Nope, I was heading up this sunday. But life got in the way. I have walked around the house in them. Clipped into bindings more than a few times. If this works the way I hope it does. I will be getting new liners or new boots, and better bindings.
  3. 172 litigator 10 plus years 172 skunk works 1 day on it. Catek softboot bindings. size- over two bills aggressive define that, to some yes to others no. I like the steeps, trees, powder, molgus and fast turns on edge. I do have an alpine board used in the 160 range. Thats where I got the bindings. This spring or when the family all goes next I might give that a try. I just want better control of my board. If all goes well I should be up at schweitzer friday the 18th.
  4. Now I am ready to give it a try. bindings are burton rat traps. board going to ride with first is a winterstick-172 tom burt model. if that goes will then I will try my lib tech. any thoughts on that....
  5. Taken family up on sunday. Xmas day I got one run on plate bindings and ski boots. My ski boots sucked. I was able to get a couple of good turns, that was enough. Can't wait to get real hardboots. Maybe next weekend I will be making more than one run. Looking forward to getting some good turns.
  6. I think i have a mondo size of 29. have been told I should go with 29 by one ski shop and a 28 or 28.5 by another. Not sure who to turst. I bought a used board and bindings at the ski swap. I hope to use the bindings on a winterstick. I am going to try sometime soon with ski boots that I have. Lookout Pass most likely will not happen. Schweitzer might happen. All I want is more control. I can't stand the feel of heel lift. Softboots feel mushy. The cateks have helped alittle, but still just not there. I don't want to buy hardboots to find out that they don't work in the conditions and terrain I like to ride. Carving looks fun but I still like go where ever and when ever. Drops and small jumps off natural terrain. Not a park monkey.
  7. just wondering how many people are in this area. I am thinking about buying some boots and going for. still sitting on the fence. would like to see first hand and talk with so for you. I will be heading up to 49 almost every weekend.

  10. right now i am riding catek softboot bindings. they are the best softboot bindings i have ridden. but i still feel they are lacking something. i like to ride all over the mountain. i don't ride the park. my question is can the hardboot set up be put on an all mountain board? the board i have in mind could take the hardboot set up. just not sure if i should spend the money to find out it doesn't work the away i hope it would. i was thinking of buying a pair of used bindings and using the ski boots i have to see if it would work and then spend the money on a good pair of bindings and boots. any suggestions on this? gus
