  1. Nice! I'll be there... Probably round 230 or later... See ya on the hill
  2. Hey..Im kind new to the community, but I was wondering if there were any experienced riders in the area willing to give some lessons. I have been on hard boots for a couple of years, but could use some pointers on form and so forth. I've read the articles, and ran the drills, but would like to make some turns with a really experience carver in hope of advancing... Thanks for any help...
  3. I dont think I've ridden with anoyone from here before, but always looking for some pointers, and a good speed session... Ill be around tommorow so hopefully I'll see some of you. I ride a rossi world cup, and have a red coat.. Cheers..
  4. It holds up well. I ride with mostly skiers, and they are real fast, but the flying banana has its ways, and can really keep up. I can only imagine what these boards are like on big mountain resorts...must be great. I hope to get into the EC aspect of riding more. Going fast has its risks, and I think Id be better off getting into an ATV or 4wd, and tone it down. Thhanks for the reassurance tho
  5. HI, I'm sort of new to carving. I bought my first board last season(Rossi 190 world cup...yellow), and have been havin fun. I ran into a guy a local mountain that told me to "be careful, I broke that same board along with some ribs". I'm just looking to see if anyone has had similar problems. Ive been fine so far, and I ride pretty hard(TD2's, and a 240lb rider), any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
  6. I had a problem with the bails coming out of shape and losening up. My front foot busted loose this saturday going pretty fast. No injuries, just a little loss of confidence. I have heard that loose bolts will cause problems. I lube/tighen every bolt every 2-3 times out. I weigh in at 245, and no broken bails yet. I hope I dont have the same problem!
  7. These guys are spot on about the length... I ride a rossi 190 world cup(the same one RJ hsa for sale on exotic boards) and it is a pretty serios chore to get down the hill unharmed. If you want to really go fast is would be a nice to have because in a straight line it screams, but as far as euro-carving or laying some trenches, a shorter board would be much better suited for a smaller mountain. Im no expert, but I would take the advice these guys have.
  8. Sweet. I gotta see if my class is canceled as planned today. If so, ill be there around 5;00 or so. I couldnt make it last week. 2wd pickup+snow storm=serious problems!
  9. If anyone has an ATV collecting dust, or a similar model,(direction powder/crud/mogul board) shoot me an email with an asking price, and shipping arrangements, and hopefully I can get hooked up! Sean Buchanan U_Sbuchanan@Umassd.edu
  10. I gave her my cell, and asked her to meet today, but got no response. I think she wil be able to sell all of them judgeing by the responses on this thread. The pricing is a little unclear to me tho. Obviously she know what she has, and she might be second guessing the price on craigslist due tot he large demand. Not sure tho. Hopefully she'll be able to get back to us soon?
  11. has anyone gotten a response?? She emailed me back after my first inqury in less than 1/2 hour, and asked me if I knew the y were alpines, and I have not heard from her since.
  12. I hope anyway. The name in the Email was Patie, so I dont know if thats a second party or what not. I hope ill get my hands on a 176 tho.
  13. sweet, ill let you know
  14. Yea. Im not to for from the cape, so I figure Ill get a feel for the situation when i see them i person.
