  1. OK, so i'll be in NYC that weekend ... you can now say "told you so"
  2. haha, where's the trust man?! I've been out at Jiminy past 2 weekends, didn't have enough time to make the trip to the BEast or I'd have been there. Seriously though, I'll be there if this thing in NYC falls through that weekend.
  3. I'm tentative! I might not be around that weekend... gotta find out.
  4. I think the price for the Volkl is already low, so that price is firm. I updated prices to shipped costs to make it easier. I could meet you in the middle for the Proton... let me know.
  5. I won't be there either :( I must have pulled a muscle in my neck, I thought it'd feel better today but it's worse!
  6. yeeeeeessss... you guys planning on a Saturday outing? I'll get there late morning probably. Got 2 new boards to play with :)
  7. I've got these 2 boards and a pair of bindings to offload. I bought these all used to get me back into the game (been away for about 5 seasons ), but now that my itch is back I made some new board purchases... Oxygen Proton GS 172 - 7.5/10 Board is lightly used, but new to me. I never did ride this board, but it looks great. 2 new board purchases mean this one is going to go. I first road an Oxygen Proton (164 I think) when I got into hardbooting and absolutely loved it. This board looks fun, but I'm trying to keep down to a 2 board quiver for sanity's sake, so I'm going to let this one go. Fresh coat of wax on it. Topsheet has a small amount of wear. Base looks good besides a couple scratches near the nose. $175 OBO Volkl RennTiger SL 163 - 6/10 I bought this about 4 or 5 seasons ago from someone on the forums. It was used on a youth race team if I remember correctly. I bought but never used until this season. Rode it twice. I liked it, but slalom boards aren't quite my style. Base is in good condition. Topsheet has some scratches. Edges look good. It looks used, but it'll still ride nice. $75 OBO Catek Olympic Bindings (Large) SOLD Bought these at the same time as the Oxygen this past fall. They have normal wear and tear. I never actually used these, since I bought a new pair of bindings (I like the softer ones). I'm not sure what the minimum boot size is these will fit. I wear MP 28 boots and they fit. On my first Proton I rode with Catek World Cups (large) and they rode great. $125 + shipping, OBO Normally I'd put shipped prices, but I honestly don't remember what shipping costs are for boards anymore. Pics Posted... PM and I can send full resolution shots.
  8. Volkl BX board arrived yesterday, looks fantastic! Can't wait to ride it this weekend. Thanks, all went well!
  9. Al, thanks! Nor sure why message would bounce or mail full, I'll have to see. Anyway, want to PM me? I think this will work. Lets talk pricing. Thanks! Sent via Tapatalk
  10. Hmmm... maybe I'll come out with a friend on Thursday!
  11. Looking for a friend for an entry-level setup. Posting here since I trust this community :p Any extra decent condition boards/bindings out there?
  12. Awesome! Looking forward to riding again this year! Its been 4 away already...
  13. Any word on opening day yet? I got my gear, I'm ready to ride!
  14. Much appreciated! Yes, after looking at all the additional gear I'll need to start accumulating, starting with the basics is probably the way to go.
  15. Thanks, Fin! That's very helpful. I'm still in research mode, since I haven't looked much into a setup in the past. I'm thinking I probably don't need to go with the Dynafit adapters to start. Might be an upgrade for the future. From what I can tell, your bindings are made specifically for the Voile plates, correct? Have you ever played with making your own plate-type system for splits?
  16. Thanks for the info! That thread was very helpful, two_ravens. I'll be doing some searching on the splitboard sites as well to see what's going on. I liked the looks of the Spark R&D Tesla system, but it didn't look like the baseplates would work with the TD Sidewinder split bindings... at least not without modifications. Do either of you ride your boards with AT boots? I wasn't sure how they'd feel on a board, but I don't see why they wouldn't work. Could just get the Dynafit adapters (http://www.sparkrandd.com/gear/dynafit/adapters/) for the Tesla baseplates in that case. Makes life simple... Looks like a bunch of options over here: http://splitboard.com/talk/viewforum.php?f=11
  17. Has anyone ridden hardboots on a splitboard? I see Bomber has splitboard bindings that attach to Voile plates... anyone have experience with other binding systems and hardboots, or using the Bomber splitboard bindings on other baseplates? Saw there is Dynafit adapters for Spark R&Ds bindings, for example...
