One amazing Donek snowboard. A little history, my favourite board ever was a 2003 Palmer Honeypro, it had an unusually long effective edge and contact length for a freestyle shape/flex; and applied carving technique could make that board sing. Pipe. Park. Groomers. And even SBX races before the modern shapes took over. Unfortunately, the Palmer broke. No surprise, it was hella light and paper thin. I asked Donek for help... Sean Martin based this build on the Donek Twin chassis. It is a park, pipe, and booter board for people who enjoy the journey (i.e. riding to and from the features). Topsheet looks amazing considering this was used for two seasons of coaching. 1º base edge, 2º side edge with lots and lots to spare. No damage, rides like new. Pic 3 shows the worst of the base. Two beautiful snowboardcross boards built by Jasey Jay Anderson. I am the original owner, and talked directly with JJA about all construction details. An image is attached with the specifications. Both boards have a 1º base edge and a 2º side edge. They are razor sharp, and there is plenty of edge remaining. Neither board has ever had a base grind. I'm hysterical about my equipment, so they're in great shape, with lots of life remaining. One board was used exclusively for boardercross racing, the other for training. The racer board was actually used by Jasey himself for one day at a World Cup in Montafon, Austria. The two boards are basically identical, but I always felt like the one JJA rode was pervaded with a little extra magic. I've owned a Kessler Cross, the small sidecut (circa. 10m) made it pretty fun to carve around at low speed. These JJA's are superior for racing, the larger sidecut and wider waist makes them faster and more stable. I'm looking for a board for my Brother-in-law. He is a typical 41 year old father of two, that gets out to The hill 10 times a year, but also fits in one epic ski trip (with yours truly) each season. He grew up slaying skate parks and his father even built him a full-size half pipe in the late 80’s. Any chance someone blowing out a demo or something?
