  1. Hi everyone,

Issue no.2 came out a year ago, February 2013. Many of our readers suggested that February is well within the season and they would rather have it at the begging of the season. For this reason we are pushing the issue no.3 back so we are aiming at a release date within the month of October 2014. We will do our best to fulfill your expectations and push the quality and contents further.

There is also a new addition to the staff of Carving Magazine. Corey Dyck will be a part of the magazine from now on and I am sure that his help will be valuable in all aspects. It is great to have him onboard!!!!

If you have any suggestions, articles, ideas that you would like to be included in the next issue please send us an email. The final quality and circulation of the magazine relies on our community and the input coming from it. Help us to promote our sport!!!

  2. What is the average shipping time to Canada? I ordered my copy just over two weeks ago and am getting anxious. Been a year you know :)

Guys it shouldn't take that long. Most of the magazines we are sending take maximum a week to get to their destination. Please give me your names so I can go through our records and tell you exactly when the magazines were sent.

    Thank you for your patience.

  3. Wow, great job again! The quality is outstanding with great pics and articles and a variety of writing...ie a mix of gear reviews, sessions, and the "headspace" piece that is really valuable to this sport. Can't wait for the next issue!

The "headspace" piece is indeed a remarkable article!!! Great job by Ian Mckenzie. I hope we will have more people with this kind of ideas coming forward in the following issues.

  4. The magazine exists only in printed format. Not digital. The price of the magazine includes worldwide shipping.

Regarding the quantity, shipping 1 copy or 2 copies in one package makes absolutely no difference in the shipping charge. For sending 2 copies in 1 package will cost slightly more than double of sending 1 issue. That is why there is no option for quantity. A difference in shipping cost may apply to orders of 5 or more copies. For these quantities just send us an email and we will get a quote for you.

I hope your copies will arrive soon so we can get some feedback!!!

  5. Our intention is to make the CARVING MAGAZINE as good as possible in every aspect.

In the 1st issue we have encountered some difficulties regarding the text so we are looking for someone that can help. We will need proofreading and editing services for some of the articles that will appear in the magazine.

Requirements: Good English language skills and relatively good knowledge of the sport.

    Payment will be discussed.

If anyone is interested to get involved please send email.

  6. Hi Kipstar,

Yes, as I mentioned in a previous thread the 2nd issue of the Carving Magazine is coming together. Indeed the idea is to sell both issues at a slight discount. Although the 2 magazines will be shipped separately and not as a package. Apparently shipping 2 magazines as a package labels it as a parcel and it ends up costing more than 2 separate shipments. Nevertheless we are still planning to offer a discount for someone who wants to buy both issues.

Thanks for the feedback. Some of these our readers will definitely see in the next issue.

The ads were free ONLY for the 1st issue. It was important to do so in order to have a complete magazine. For the second issue we have put together an ad proposal indicating ad spaces, very reasonably priced. After all we are still a brand new publication. Fortunately we already have people that have purchased some of the spaces.

  7. Thanks Uwe,

I really appreciate your comments and most of all I am glad you like it!!!

The Issue #2 is already under construction and judging by the content material I have so far its looking very good.

The plan is to have issue #2 out by the end of October maximum beginning of November so everybody can start their season officially with magazine in hand. Of course that does not apply to people that reside in tropical paradise!!!!;)

    See you soon!!!

  8. any chance of developing an online (pdf) version? i like e-mags. saves space, trees & transportation costs.

I don't think a PDF version will ever be an option for this annual publication. There is no real point to it since most of the info are already on the Internet. When it's printed, it is history. Not to mention that nothing beats the smell of freshly printed paper!! I am pretty sure that people who got the magazine in their hands will agree that a good old printed mag can never be absolete!!
