I believe Flounder was being very specific about a small percentage of the people in these populations and not generalizing about all members of these populations as a whole. I think he makes a very good points describing these individuals and I know every one out there has had run ins with said individuals. I know I have.

There've been these types of things for 30 years. Yawn. Looks like a power snurfer for water. To each his own, I guess.

Thanks for the well wishes y'all.

The owners of these bikes should see the same wrath Hummer owners get. They seem so excessive.
At least they get better gas mileage.

Don't fool yourself. Carving can be dangerous. Welcome aboard.

I have tried ursle wing cutting mod and it works great for me 74"/205#. You might also try removing the tongue stiffeners (the gray tabs on the orange boots, don't know what other color they might be on other boots). They just unbolt.

Happy Birthday Craig Kelley!

Yes, it took me a while, but I've got photos from the 09 SES here. See you Feb 13-19th 2010 in Aspen!
Scare of the day. Holy Crap! These dates for SES 2010 are a little off...

jon bass-I was thinking the same thing.

I fear the day when I'll have to give up my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Laredo). It only gets 19 - 20mpg, but it does everything I ask of it with very little complaining.

Good find.

Either that or your sarcasm encoder is running buggy. Hit the reset button.

That's really freakin' sad considering they won the AMA sportbike title this year... their first in competition.

You sound like an elitist jerk that I have never met.
Oh now, don't ripping on Bordy. We just managed to get him back on Bomber.

I guess they figure it'll be cheaper than an operation.
I think that's exactly it. I hope it works. I know Morton's hurts.

I used to get this a lot. It was mainly poor technique that did it to me... as in trying to force my board a lot instead of trusting and using the edge to carve. Not saying that's necessarily your problem, though.

Try motocross pants. TVR loves his and they were like $100.

I was told off for doing this last season. Start of the morning, no one in the lift line, I walked the short stretch to the front of the lift line. One of the lift line guys made me stop walking. I was totally puzzled about this and asked him why. He said that my footprints messed up the flat snow that they had for the lift line. And this was in the South East, so we're not talking deep snow here; more like crushed hardpack.
First time I've ran into that problem in 20 years of boarding.
Paul
Ha! You should have put your board on and then stomped all the way down the line with your kick foot.

I've only been to SLC once and it was in '95. I was in softies as I hadn't started carving yet. I went to Snowbird, Alta (had to ski) and Solitude. Solitude was my favorite by far. There's one run I remember well, Rhapsody. If you get your stuff together, I bet that's one screaming carving run.

Too expensive. Any time I got the urge to ride that train, I realized the privilege would cost 12 or more times putting 4 people in a car and driving.
