  1. they might just be older sb125's that are not compatible. mine look like the same boot in your ad, just different colours. i know i have to drill them but they have that bump that prevents the heel from mating with the boot. did yours have the bump in the heel?

i am a lightweight 135lbs prolly 145lbs loaded up. i think i would prefer the cateks over raceplates. i emailed you about them and tried to give a ring.

  2. edit: i agree with others posts and do not think it is safe to mod the boots.

i got my intec heels today and they do not quite fit my Raichle sb125s. the material in the center is preventing a mating between boot and heel. are these actually compatible. can i remove the material w/o adversely effecting the structural integrity of the boot? inside the boot the heel section is finned. if i remove material most of the fins should be preserved?

anyone done this before or will this just not work?

    thanks!

    alex

  3. now that this has moved from a technique to equipment thread, a comment comes to mind.

everyone and the sport benefits when new gear sales are strong. i look at it from my position. i can not drop a lot of dosh on a board and i am a beginner. i want to purchase the best i can with the money i have. if the new market is strong the chance that i can get a board with newer technology used increases as will my success and enjoyment of the sport. as i progress and the cash-flow increases, i can become a consumer of new gear, which in-turn will hopefully be able to pass down my purchased new gear down to the used market.

    ah.. the ideal wolrd...

  4. Looks like the rain in the NW was responsible for this one. Mud and boulders are strewn across 8 miles of HW 35 effectively cutting off access to Mt Hood Meadows. The only access to the resort is a Forrest Service road.

    from oregonlive.com

"On Mount Hood, as much as a million cubic yards of rock, mud and sand covered a quarter-mile stretch of Oregon 35, the main highway connecting U.S. 26 from Government Camp to Hood River. The White River burst over the highway in a rain-driven torrent Monday night and again Tuesday, said Bill Barnhart, an Oregon Department of Transportation manager. There were no estimates when the highway would reopen, but state officials predicted federal money would be needed for the repairs. U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., was expected to tour the area.

ODOT officials initially said the cleanup and repairs could cost as much as $20 million. Rebuilding in the same spot is open for debate, Barnhart said."

lets hope that they get this cleaned up or temporary access built soon!!

  5. like the title says... the board is too big to send by post back to the US and it is cost prohibitive to take on the plane with me.

the lotus is in good shape, little ratty on the topsheet edges. has 1cm camber left in it.

boots are mondo 28 Raichle 124s..

the trick is that i am leaving saturday at 6am so if you can come pick the board up in chur its yours. i would rather it go to a hardbooter here than to a second hand shop. this was my first alpine board and i am going to miss it!

see my for sale post for more info

  6. hey.. might take you up on the offer (though i prefer a longer board)... i was planning to be in CH for two years so i packed for two years. i got a lot to take with me and ship, the additional baggage charge exceeds what the board is worth. it will be good to be back... might even have to rent a board and hit palmer.

  7. looking for 50 euro OBO

i am moving back to the usa sooner that i thought. i really would like to take this board home with me because i like it a lot. problem is the post service tops out at 150 and this guy is a 164.

used and is okay condition. has 10mm of camber left on it. the topsheet edges are a little ragged. bindings are older proflex f2s.

i am in switzerland and will send throughout europe. depending on size restrictions it will by post or ups/dhl

pic of the board are here http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showpost.php?p=88500&postcount=21
