  1. The Indy are supposed to be the stiffest according to Alpine Carving

    http://www.alpinecarving.com/boot_models.html

    "

    • Each boot model has a different stiffness: the Le Mans are the softest, followed by the Suzuka, followed by the Indy, which is stiffest. The Indy is also a bit stiffer than the Head boots."

  2. Phiokka, now PHK, produces several different models, depends of which one you have.

The 46.6 are great bindings, if you are talking about phiokka, shoud be 5 or more years old bindings.

    Have a tour at www.phksnow.com/snow

Otherwise they are very dufferent bindings, TD goes in the flex way and PHK in the stiff one.

I think that just depends in what are you looking for and which is your global setup, board, boots.

  3. In Italy we have a lot of ski resort which are built in national natural park so you can't almost do any modifications to the ground.

I live in Rome and near here we have almost steep, narrow slopes.

During the year with my carving friends we use to have two or more trip around and in the most situations are steep and narrow. So we need lively narrow board but also long because we have a lot of sun and so there are in late season, march and April but sometimes in December very icy slopes.

One of the most center Italy friendly board that I have try was a Plasma Carve 175/15 too narrow for my big feet, and my fantastic Carve 180/18

It was year since I met Donek snowboards website and understood the love of Sean for this sport but it is very difficult to find one Donek board in Europe so this could be the right occasions!

  4. The Italian national team is experimenting with a model of hard boots in collaboration with Scarpa.

The base is a model out of production so they can freely work on the molds, it is similar to the Maestrale but Caesare Pisoni has confirmed to me not to be.

The hooks and the upper part would seem to be those of the Mobe.

A 5 hooks boot with springs system and innovative materials, I guess Pebax.

We hope that it will come into production, knowing the quality of the Scarpa's products .

  5. My weight is 125 kg and 2 meters tall. Never broke a burton bail in 20 years.

the point is how do you tune them.

more or less same number on the plate for the heel and the toe

you must be able to lock them with just one hand surely you need to hear a snap when you close them.

  6. Georg Rabanser works togheter with 19.94 as well one of the young guys in his team is the son of the owner of 19.94

He has collaborated with North Wave for the spring system on the .900 and .950 so this system is quite similar but it is made of stainless steel.

The system costs nearly 80 euro.

  7. This mountain a some others in Europe are rather different from the US. They are very steep groomed hills that are more easily ridden with a very narrow, tight turning fixed radius and lively board. We will most likely offer a board that is designed around these parameters.
