1. Hey Keyser Soze, is there a cheap night pass at Cascades? I didn't see it on the website. Something in the 100$ range...

Last year, they had this pass:

    GANG-UP TO ROCK THE MOUNTAIN

Valid 7 nights and weekdays all season, including Christmas and March Break*

    *Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

$79 per person with a group of 8 people or more.

$89 per person with a group of 4 to 7 people.

$99 per person with a group of 2 or 3 people.

    $109 for one person

But you're right, they haven't posted anything similar for this season yet.

  2. Years of bad habits and improper techniques show up as major flaws on this board, whereas other baords I can get away with being an idiot. And for some reason, I'm not confident on this board, and get really locked up, therefore it's tough to finish anything in that state of mind.

Really? I got my hands on an '09 SG, this winter (my last board was an '02 Donek), and riding that thing is like cheating.

  3. The Apex Race Plate won't work on standard 4x4 inserts. It fits inserts set up for that other plate. The one that starts with "H" and ends in "angl".

    I lol'd.

Also, I like that they give Seb credit for his tent picture in the top right corner.

    I like this picture better:

  4. I disagree about what racers are using. Here is a WC race from 3 days ago. There is ONE racer that might be using ski boots in this album. The rest are Northwave .950s and Deeluxe Indys and T325s.

I only know that Sigi (Atomic), Lambo (Full Tilt) and Morison (Dalbello) ride ski boots...

Sigi might be back on Northwaves too?

  5. I was wondering if anybody's got F2 bindings (standard bails) that they'd like to get rid of at the moment? I recently made the switch to Kryptons and I'd like to see how a flexier binding rides. I figured I'd check during the off-season, as there might be an end of season deal to be made.

I ride a 26.5 ski boot, so if I'm not mistaken, both Medium or Large bindings would work.

Thanks for taking the time to read! :biggthump

  6. Since he made the style, it should be named after him, or let him decide the name, or something along those lines.

Casper is a freestyle skateboarding trick that was invented by Bobby "Casper" Boyden in the late 1970s.

The style should definitely be named after him. Besides, in the future, anybody who posts videos of themselves carving like that will be subjected to "ohhh, they're riding like Casper..."

  7. Has anybody talked about Schoch? That was hilarious.

The fault followed an almost comical series of races for 5th-8th with a no show from Rok Flander of Slovenia resulting in a series of twists including Swiss Simon Schoch coming out of the start gate miming the breaststroke in a pair of swimming goggles before promptly heading off the side of the course, his start securing his run.

The farce might cause organisers to reassess the system that decides 5th-8th position with it suggested that times from the qualifying round could potentially be used instead to avoid redundant races in the closing stages of the PGS with the focus on the Small and Big Final.

  8. Yeah, I have the green/black Krypton Pros and there's no way I'd enjoy riding them with Cateks. Even TD2s would be too stiff I think. But the F2Ts seem to be the sweet spot so far.

F2 Titanium? I see some F2 Freecarves available for cheap in the Classifieds, I'm just worried that they may not hold up when squashed between a ski boot and a SG with Lexan plates on it. Phiokas could be an option too methinks.

  9. Ooh I dont know if id do that, you may really need them fitted, but not molded, for the heel issue I had a wedge put in and the heel wrap. I tried boots a half a size smaller, all it did was make it painfull! both the top of my foot and the rear of my heel were really in pain after only 2 runs. id rather just be able to make them tighter, with the buckles and fitting rather than using just the tighter size.

BTW did you try on any other kryptons?? I tried on the grey ones and the yellow jamaica ones, I dont know how those could be ridden, they seemed way too stiff.

My 27 Raichles were definitely too big, but I was coming off a pair of 26.5 Oxygens that I had to ride with my toes curled. These ones seem snug, but a little bit of wearing them should definitely help.

I haven't tried any other Kryptons, but these ones are very soft from what I was told, and now having tried them on, I can definitely confirm that. However, that may change once I actually ride them.
