  1. So he grabs her and breaks her arm, or he grabs her, she falls and hits her head. Or, she fights him and they both fall into traffic.

Swell if that last scenario went down... Everybody would be saying that he should have just tased her.

Dumb **** for getting into a slanging match with a cop. Just take your ticket and leave.

clearly we have some basic philisophical differences. somewhere back in history someone said "OH just take your yellow star and be quiet and subservient" and later they said "oh just take your nice shower"

The point is that traffic stops are almost entirely victimless crimes and clearly just a revenue raising measure by the state. IT shouldn't be a crime in the first place and as it stands now a traffic misdemeanor does not warrant physical assault by an officer. All he had to do was let her go and turn in the ticket with a refused to sign noted at the bottom and let the judge deal with it. Instead he assaulted an old woman. Which is what oh yeah a crime with an actual victim.:nono:

  2. I just came from an hour meeting with the city manager of whitefish. A meeting referencing police harrassment.

I attended a city council meeting in which a friend of mine had requested the city council investigate our chief of police for felony intimidation and harrassment. I was witness to some of these acts so I attended to see what would happen. The council declined the request and while we sat through all the other stuff leading up to that item the chief was taking pictures of me and some others with his cellphone. It was humorous at first because he was trying to hide his actions from the council but still be obvious to us. He was on his radio and cellphone throughout the meeting and called a young officer in at one point and gave him instructions of some kind. When we departed the building the meeting was still in session. no less than 5 cops exited the building and got into their cars after we left. This is a small town at 11 at nite we were the only people on the street that nite. the cops proceeded to circle the blocks around us even driving slow enough to follow a man on foot at some points. we spread out and the split and followed each of us for nearly an hour.

I am a professional respected member of the community and I was treated that way because I dared attend a city council meeting?!?? Chief got off without a slap on the hand so he stepped it up a notch.

I spent an hour reaming the city manager and city attorney and I feel better now. We'll see if it changes anything

  3. I would also say that Emergen-C is a great product. The mineral ascorbates are the best form of vit C and the most easily assimilated and used by the body.

airborne is a better product than Zicam

echinacea works well depending on the type of virus contracted. if it doesn't make a noticeable difference in a day or two quit using it.

sambucol or any black elderberry product are very effective against influenza and other respiratory infections.

  4. the single best remedy for strep is 20 ppm colloidal silver. gargle a shot for awhile and then swallow. It can also be sprayed up the nose and is very effective.

for those of you easily swayed by pharma propaganda fear not you will not turn blue unless you drink gallons a day for years. If you do turn blue you will not die you will just be blue.

Good silver products are clear not yellow you can test them by shining a laser pointer through them. if you can see the laser beam in the water its real silver if you can't its just water.

normal preventive dosages are up to a tablespoon a day.

when you are sick its perfectly ok to go through a quart in a day or two.

If you want to make your own dont buy the battery powered machines, they make the lower quality stuff that turns yellow. I would suggest the one from silvergen.com constant current = consistent particle size and higher quality product

  5. those final words, "im getting back into my car" were more than likely the final straw for the officer here. yes, the tazer is a bit excessive, as im sure a baton to the leg would have sufficed for the 6ft plus officer, but to allow the lady to initiate a high speed chase was simply not an option. further escalation would have put many more lives at risk than a surly old lady and an officer that felt he was doing exactly what he was trained to do.

The jagoff was administering a traffic citation (collecting taxes) mail her the ticket and let her go. avoid looking like a tool on youtube and still collect your thirty pieces of silver.

How would a baton to the leg be any less repulsive? Its an old lady who still remembers when policemen where there to help you. whats she gonna do hurt him?

  6. The politics of a victimless crime like speeding aside, There is still no single scenario where this was appropriate short of her pulling a gun on him.

when are we going to say enough is enough?

law enforcement is now the largest industry in this country. we have more people incarcerated than any other country. Most for "crimes" with no victims.

I will take the old days of Peace officers and its only a crime if there is a victim over this **** any day!

  7. I am in general not a fan of surgery. This one however is an outpatient procedure that will not have you down for long. not much else works well. a good soft orthotic can alleviate the pain but soft orthotics don't work as well in hardboots. do the surgery this summer and you'll likely be ready roll long before the season:biggthump

  8. Not sure I am following the float idea exactly as the author intended but, turning a short board long for me entails using my feet to flatten out the board through the turn. In essence reducing the boards ability to decamber by pushing my front toes down and towards the nose and my rear heel toward the tail.

  9. I have taken to signaling bicycle style with my arms at every transition in the slope and anytime I pass stationary people. I also have ditched the earphones in favor of loud off key singing/yelling particulary when approaching trail merges etc.

IT sounds dopey but it has saved me on many occasions. people hear something out of the ordinary and they check up to investigate. war whoops work too!:biggthump

one of my boarding crew wears a cow bell on his pack that klanks and klunks all the way down the mtn. IT works pretty good and of course you can always yell " we need more COWBELL":eplus2:

  10. now learn to do it over a slit trench fire and you have real pioneer skills:eplus2:

Spent a little time in western nebraska working for a wagon train tourist trap. If you didn't build the fire underground it didn't stay lit in your general area due to the usual gale force winds. a long slit trench provides both chimney and draft. Top with a dutch oven and you are in business

  11. the quiver never stays the same for too long so i will post the boards that i used this season, though the season isn't over yet mammoth is still open, a few boards might be gone next season but here they are:

    Virus scalpel 180, prior wcr 177, oxygen proton 168, dynastar 4807 178, nidecker proto 167, f2 speedcross 165, f2 roadster 166, generics 159

    dibs on the f2 speedcross:eplus2:
