voysey
I am headed there next week for about 4-5 days of riding. I was looking to spend 2 days at each mountain. Which mountain do you think is better and any suggested runs for carving?
Skully
Park City has wider runs, but both mountains have good carving terrain. The King Con lift is one of the favorites for Carvers at Park City. Get ahold of the guys at Hardbooter.com, they should be able to hook up some locals to show you around. What are the dates when you will be in PC? If you want more Info. on The Canyons, e-mail me offline and I can hook you up... Here's some photos to give you some ideas of what the runs are like: Less than Ideal conditions, but this gives you an idea of what a lot of the runs look like off of King Con: (Bob Dodds tearing up a couple inches of fluff at the WTC). Jeff and Kirsten playing tag off of King Con: Adam on the Payday run, off of the Payday lift: In contrast, here's Apex ridge, at The Canyons: And here's Mr. Scott Firestone, also on Apex Ridge: (Thanks for the Photos Scott!) The weather has been holding up great this spring.... If you're lucky you might get some of this: (mmmmmmmm........) Or maybe even some of this: I'm such a dweeb - posting all the photos Curt / Skully
voysey
and went to heaven. I hope i can handle the the conditions. I will be with my wife and 2 kids so getting away on my own is not an option. i will keep my eyes open for fellow carvers. I arrive Thursday night next week.
