tufty
Missed out on these on the 'bay (they went for silly money), but was wondering if anyone knew what they were? They are listed as "King of Binding" but the only hits I get for that is some special stockist-edition bindings by Ride, but they are all softies as far as I can tell. Seller reckons they are by "19.94", who I can't find any hits on. Ideas? Simon
nils
seems italian bindings.. similar to elfgen model... funny because we had an italian rider looking for spare parts on our forum last week! Nils
Guest Todd Stewart
yeah they sort of look like phiokka's which are italian bindings, they have similar grooves cut into the heel and toe plates.
Scott Firestone
They are the "1994" brand of bindings. Here is another model, seen at the 2005 SES:
tufty
Ahah! Thanks to nils, it seems that: - 19.94 and elfgen are one and the same - The binding is an elfgen 'Voodoo' - Not sure if elfgen are still making plate bindings. - elfgen's site is, intuitively enough, http://www.water-colors.net - That site has a broken page for plate bindings, but the old one appears to still be there at http://www.water-colors.net/html/bindings/voodoo.htm if that means anything More.. You can buy the intec version of the binding from http://www.water-colors.de but no mention of a plain bails version. Thanks, guys and gals.
